We have a customer's security team objecting to the files because of an issue with their "Overly Permissive Message Posting Policy." An example:Has anyone else run into this, and is there anything we can do to reduce the threat assessment?
Hello,In RoboHelp 11, every time I generate Printed Documentation (Word), my master page header/footer appears on the Title Page. It doesn't appear on RoboHelp's default title page, but it appears when I use a topic as a Title Page or when I navigate to a Word doc Title Page in Print Document Section Layout. In the Print Document General - Content section, Multiple Header/Footer, <Default Title Page>, I select <None> for First Page (Apply to all pages in the section). In the Print Document Section Layout, I thought RoboHelp automatically rendered anything placed above the TOC as the Title Page, but for some reason, it's seeing my Topic Title Page and/or Word doc Title Page as just another page in the document and adding the header/footer to it.I think the last version of RoboHelp I used awhile back was 8 or 9, but I don't recall ever having this trouble adding a Title Page to a Printed document. Please help me troubleshoot this.Thank you!
I have a Merged RH8 Project that I need to upgrade to RH11. Some content has been updated. The links within a child project and to other child projects are not changing. My question is: Do I need to go through and update each link or will these be updated when I generate and publish the project?
I just started working with Responsive HTML5 in RoboHelp 11. I notice that on one machine my bookmarks appear in the sidebar of the Responsive HTML5 output. However, when I move the output to a different machine and view it, the bookmarks are missing from the sidebar. Only the Contents icon appears from which I can access the pages individual pages. What do I need to do to ensure that the bookmarks appear regardless of the PC on which it runs? Thanks!
HiWe are using RH11 with version control (two of us have licences to use RH) I am wanting to assign Map IDs in our project. I created the map number, but when I go to assign it to a topic, I get the the following message."The files in the list below could not be checked out from version control. Exclusive access to these files is required to execute the selected action"The file in the list that it is referring to has the extension .aliIs this saying that because there are two of us with RH that can access the project that I can't do this? Or is it because of the version control I cannot do this? I don't really understand why? I am hoping there is an expert who can enlighten me!Thanks, Louise
I am using Robohelp 9 and when I generate my webhelp output, which of the files are the index files? I understand that the index file is the .hhk file in the project folder but where does that file go when I compile?
When mapping for context-sensitive Webhelp, which of these two files should be used?
Hi,I need to create an instance of my RoboHelp project. Is there any feature like Save As or Save Project As.
Note pressing the screen does nothingPS I think Adobe is treating the IPad like a Mobile phone, following selecting a prompt that I could not back out of.
Does anyone have links for custom webhelp toc icon design sites? After much reading & searching, I can't find any, either free or to buy. In 2009 there was a RoboHelp Exchange. There is an Adobe Skin page, but nothing for Robohelp. I've read Helps, checked the Skins folder, viewed the Gallery options. I'm not a creative designer and would prefer to select them. I only need the buttons, but would consider skins also.Thank you
Tried importing .xpj file from RoboHelp 10 into RoboHelp 11. TOC, Index and Glossary imported but not showing anything under Project Files (the main topics). What is missing? I thought importing the .xpj file contained everything RoboHelp needed to replicate the project.
So we've finally got TCS5 loaded & patched now here at my work and have started playing with it. I've already confirmed that there was a new bug in RH11's treatment of CSS files in the generated help output (see Re: What I see in the CSS is not what displays in the HTML -- why?), but I knew I could handle that when I got to that point. So testing the import of upgraded (FM11 to FM12) books and their import into a new RH11.0.4.291 project, I'm noticing some strange behaviour in RH11 - mainly, it seems to choke on any more than 50-some FM docs/books being imported! Any more than that and the project seems to come out the other end of the process thinking it's all done, when it hasn't put anything in the Project Manager pod or even in the project's folder in Explorer. Here's what I've noticed watching the Output View pane:- it shows the FM docs being converted - much chugging through each file name (Converting (X of Y)"doc name") accompanied by a little graphic progress bar (BTW - havin
Hi there!I am trying to add different background images to the body of my topics. Since I want different backgrounds for different topics would created different master pages be the best option for that? If I do that I have the code in html as the following:<body <div="" style="background-image: url(robohelpdesigndemoonly2.png); width: 900px; height: 900px; background-repeatd: no=repeat;">I know very little about HTML coding so this is what I managed to gather from examples on the internet. Is this correct? Because whenever I preview the topic it is zoomed in but when I preview the file in IE it shows up just fine. I didn't know if there was an easy way to fix that or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I have a FrameMaker 12 book comprising 31 FM files, and I have RH 11 as part of TCS5. All are patched up.From my FrameMaker files, I want to create only HTML files that use a single CSS, with the only added baggage being linked graphics. I don't want JavaScript or any framework. Is this possible, does RH support such simple output?
Hi,Can I create a topic hierarchy in the Project Manager pod or do I need to rely on the TOC? I am using RoboHelp 9 (although I doubt the version matters). Thanks,Mary
I have one RH 10 project that connects to TFS for source control. Starting this morning, I get the "Adobe RoboHelp 10 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly" error when I use the Open Project from Version Control icon. The project opens fine if I do it directly from my PC. This is not happening with any other project connected to TFS. Is there a file in the root directory that is corrupted that I can delete?
I can generate Responsive HTML5 output and run from deskstop and tablet. How do I deploy and run Responsive HTML5 content on a smartphone? Please provide details. Thanks so much!
I am working with TCS 5, RH 11, and FM12, all patched up. I am finding that imported FM works better than linked (slightly fewer crashes and access to CSS seems better). However, in several cases, the RH CSS is not showing what the HTML is displaying. Why?For example, my GlossaryDefinition style (FM_GlossaryDefinition) is indented in FM (it is part of a run-in head construction) and I don't want this in the output HTML. But, the CSS as displayed in RH shows no indent while the HTML displays an indent. How can this be? what is going on?Thanks,Sean
It seems that the Site Search Tracking option in Google Analytics does not apply because the WebHelp search engine is not creating a URL.Does anyone have any thoughts? Is it possible to add a code snippet somewhere that will pass the search text to GA as an event? Appreciate all help. Thanks! -Joe
I use the latest Robohelp version 11I always have a message of the form "”The window name “xxxxxx” passed to HH_GET_WIN_TYPE has not been specified" appears even when you have set all your window definitions correctly ... then a secondary window appears which contains only the CHM selected as it is shown in picture below:(the left screenshot is the project that has 2 chm merged and the left screenshot of the selected chm)
I have searched the forum and Peter Grainge's site and not found a solution to this problem that worked.I have a new installation of RH10 on Windows 7 sp1. It was installed as a trial and then licensed. I do not have the complete Adobe Acrobat -- only the add-on that was installed with RH. I used RoboHelp HTML to create a simple webhelp project and attempted to generate a PDF from it with the single source layout for Printed Documentation. The following error occurred:Starting to build Printed Documentation...Printed Documentation processor 10.0.0.287Building C:\RoboHelp experiments\merged help webhelp\Child projects\comcare_human_resources_modul\!SSL!\Printed_Documentation\Printed_Documentation.doc ...Preparing to create Printed Documentation...Clearing output folder...Preparing files for Print Document...Copying files...Updating files...Finished preparing in 1 second.Preparing environment...Printed Document Generator Environment: Word 14.0.6129, OS 6.1.7601, RAM 4009 M BytesBui
Hi,TCS 5, FM12, RH11 all patched up. Multilevel lists are new to me. They are not HTML, they are more than that. They are also not quite working as advertised. So, do multilevel lists use JavaScript? How are they put together? What are the files that a multilevel list relies on for its construction when rendered?Cheers,Sean
Using TCS 5, RH11, FM12, all patched up, if I set a marker, such as "Filename" in FrameMaker, can RoboHelp use the contents of that marker to set the file name of the HTML file it creates? How? Thoughts?Cheers,Sean
How do I set a single CSS for a project?Currently, I have linked (I checked, they are actually linked) FM files. The project is Responsive HTML 5 Single Source Layout. It is set up this way:Project FilesEach FM file has a folder that contains a CSS, an FPJ, any baggage (PNG, for example) and an HTM.So, for my project, I have 31 such folders.Above them is RHStyleMapping.css.That's itTo map my project to a custom CSS, I did this:1) Created the custom CSS (let's call it TheSingleCSS-sb01.css) and put it in the same location as RHStyleMapping.css.2) Right-clicked Responsive HTML5 (Primary Layout) in the Single Source Layouts pane.3) Selected Properties. The Responsive HTML5 Properties dialog box opens.4) Click Content, select the Apply to all Topics check box, select CSS, and choose my CSS, TheSingleCSS-sb01.css.5) Click Save and Generate. Generating happens.6) When prompted, click View Result.7) Double-click one of the resulting topics, and choose the HTML tab.😎 Notice the f
Hi,I am using TCS 5, RH 11, FM 12, all patched up. I want HTML files, baggage (PNG, etc.), and a single CSS packaged so I can deploy it (on CD or online) in a useable way. Am currently using a Blank project with HTML 5 output. However, currently, each of my 31 or so FM chapters gets a folder that contains an HTM, CSS, baggage, and a TXT file.I have 31 such folders. this is unhelpful. Can I get all my HTML in one place, with a SINGLE subfolder for all baggage, and ONE CSS?I tried Saving and Generating, but that didn't work.I set a publish location as a folder on my hard drive, called Output, and that didn't work. The structure I want is:All the HTML files in one folder (with the CSS)A sub folder for the CSS (optional if not in the same folder as the HTML)A sub folder with all the graphicsHow do I achieve this? Thanks,Sean
