Hi AllIm having an issue with an application called Robosource Control 3.1. There is a component called SCC Profile Editor which on a Windows 7 x32bit device works fine, but it will not open at all on a Windows 7 x64 bit device. It flashes on then immediately off no matter what we try.Has anyone seen this issue before ?No errors in event logs, im running it as an admin user too.Any ideas appreciatedThanks

I merged a hand full of child projects in Robohelp 8 HTML using the method developed by Peter Grainge. When I open generated file of any child project in IE11, there is no problem, but when generated file of parent project is opend by IE11, images are rotated as they are seen in mirror, TOC is not shown and content of pages are shifted to right hand side of monitor. Every thing is OK when I open generated file of parent project with Chrome and Firefox. It seems there is some conflicts between IE11 and merging

Hi. Me again. Is there any way to maintain links between pages of different merged projects in RH Server?To clarify, consider the crude sample presentation of a projects merged in RH Server. Say that the author(s) of the projects have an agreement that project names (eg, "Second project output") and the first topic ("Welcome") will have static names. Is there a way to, for example, create a link in the Welcome page of the First project output which opens the Welcome page of the Second project output? If so, please suggest the correct syntax.Note: I found that right click on a navigation item, copy the link, then paste the link the browser address line, then the project that contains the link opens up outside the context of the merged environment. Only the project's own navigation is shown. Thanks in advance.-Kurt

Hello,Hopefully this is an easy issue that someone may be able to help me with. I am working on a WebHelp_Pro project (primary layout) and have created a new skin and modified it to my liking. However it does not appear that in the edit skins menu I can remove things I do not want on the toolbar (i.e. Glossary). It seems that in the Windows properties section that I can choose which items I want and where to position them.  So when I get things in the order I want them and generate it does not show the items on the toolbar in the order I would prefer (custom logo, contents, index, search) and I also do not want the additional search box in the upper right.  Any insight into what I can do to fix this would be appreciated.Thanks!Robohelp HTML 11

I have one project that I have output both as a chm and as a webhelp project.  One one of the pages, I have some image maps linked to bookmarks on the same page.  These work fine in the CHM, but in the Webhelp, when I click on the image map area, nothing happens.  Am I missing a setting for Webhelp that makes these links work?Thanks,kb(RH10)

Hello there,When I view responsive HTML5 output in Internet Explorer, the image that is used for the selected sidebar button (typically the TOC) is initially hidden behind the background color.As soon as I mouseover the button, the image appears and everything works fine.The problem does not occur in Firefox or Chrome. It also doesn't affect the buttons in the tablet/mobile modes, only the sidebar when viewing on the desktop.I'm using a modified layout that is based on the Theme_1_Standard layout. However, the problem also occurs when using the default Theme_1_Standard or Theme_3_Black responsive layouts in a completely new project.Any ideas?RH Version: 11.0.3.268IE Version: 10.0.9200.

I use Comments in Word to ask my boss questions or remind myself to do something. I sometimes need the same notes after linking the Word document in RoboHelp HTML 11. From what I can tell, the comments don't transfer over, but perhaps I'm wrong?

Using RoboHelp HTML 11.I'm linking a Word document into my project, and having it create the Table of Contents automatically. I have it create new pages at Word's Heading 1 and Heading 2.Typically, a section in Word will be like this:Heading 1BodyHeading 1.1Body Heading 1.2BodyIn the TOC, it will create a book labeled "Heading 1", and pages for Heading 1.1 and Heading 1.2. There's no page for Heading 1 or the body text that goes there.I can manually add the Heading 1 page to the book, but I suspect that I don't need to. Is there some setting that I'm using wrong? I am trying to add a toolbar button (for webhelp output) for a client to use that will add the current page to the user's IE Favorites list. I have used the script from Rick Stone's Skinny On Skins "Toolbar button to add items to the Favorites list" topic, but I get a javascript error when trying to execute the button in the toolbar.Here is the code I'm copying from Rick's Skinny on Skins ...javascript:window.external.AddFavorite(parent.frames[1].bsscright.location,paren t.frames[1].bsscright.document.title);Any help would be welcomed!

I finally figured out how to pin RoboHelp 8 to the taskbar in Windows 7!Create a shortcut to RoboHelp on the desktop.Rename the shortcut RH. The shortcut name must not contain the word "help".Drag the shortcut to the taskbar.This took a long time to figure out. I have a RoboHelp project to which I have applied conditional build tags. The purpose is to hide these topics from the generated output. Everything works fine except when I do a search on terms related to the hidden topics, the search results list the topic names. By the way, I still have the topics listed in my Table of Contents with the conditional build tags applied there too. How can I prevent conditional topics from appearing in Search? Thanks for your assistance.

Using RoboHelp HTML 11. I'm going to try making a project by linking a Word document instead of importing. Before I do, I want to be clear: what changes in the project will be lost, and must be re-done, each time I update the link to the Word document?For instance, will I have to reapply the Master Page to all the topics? I have a one celled table with a background image.  It's really just a gradient strip (gradient going from top to bottom - ending in fade to white).  I want the image to continue all the way across the page.  If I set it to repeat via X, somehow you can see where the repeat begins... so I was wondering if there's a way to just stretch the image from left to right to force it to fit exactly to 98% of the window no matter how big the window is.Thanks...kb(RH10 for Webhelp)

Im using RoboHelp 11 to generate context-sensitive WebHelp files. In the Generate settings, I've selected the output folder and start page as index.htm. I've successfully generated the files and given the SSL! folder to developers. They are using the Robohelp API.  However when they call a page with a mapping id, the page opens but instead of the navigation pane on the  left, Show link is displayed. On clicking the navigation pane is displayed.On checking the URLs, index.htm is not present in the file. I've tried manually adding index.htm to all the URLs listed in the whcshdata.js. but then the navigation pane is shown twice. on refresh, it is shown as expected.Please help

Can someone enlighten me on where to edit the pointer to the Home page icon so that I can open the Help files to the Chapter 1 instead of Chapter 9?

So... I am using RH10 to generate Webhelp. I am on Windows 7.That said, I have a very small test project I am building for a presentation today.  I have placed a special icon in my help that has an attached PDF file.  The purpose is to have the user click the icon to display the PDF (also a very small file).  However, I have tried setting it up as a hyperlink and via image map... and set it to open in a "new window".  When I rollover the icon with the mouse, it changes to the hand cursor as if it knows it's hyperlinked.  But, when I click or double click on the icon nothing happens.What  have I missed?  HELP!  This is due this afternoon for a meeting!

In my compiled RoboHelp 11 HTML project (.chm), the numbered lists in the text correctly show 9 pt numbers, but the numbered lists in tables show 12 pt numbers. RoboHelp 11When previewing topics from within the project, a script error diplays: 'HHComponent Activator' is undefined.How do you get rid of this script error?

My colleague and I have  followed the steps in the Integrating RoboHelp projects with Subversion article to set up version control using Subversion with the PuskOK plugin. We are not getting the results expected as far as collaboration.  When I open RoboHelp, I am able to check out files, and I see that the status updates to “Checked Out” in the File Status Pod accordingly. I am able to check files in as well.  However, when my colleague opens the same project from version control, in her File Status pod, most of the files show “not controlled.”  She cannot see that I have checked out a file either. In my File Status Pod I see a few project files ( a few .fpj files, for example) that show up as “not controlled.” Those are the only files that seem to be under version control in my colleague’s project. I have read the recent posts related to this issue, but I have not found any that resulted in a satisfactory outcome for using RH with the Subversion, PughOK plugin set

I wondered if you have had this situation occur with your output from Robohelp 10.I created my help system and CSS using Robohelp 10. My CSS contains a numbered list style and an alpha list style, both having line spacing of 3pt before and 3pt after. Looks great in Robohelp WYSIWYG, but the generated output (in IE and Chrome) looks bad. The numbered list line has way too much line spacing after (the next style is a non-numbered list style) and the alpha list has way too little line spacing.I tried playing around with changing the line spacing but it does not change the output!Thought I'd reach out to see if you have experienced this issue and the most expedient way to resolve.Here is an example of HTML tags in Robohelp:numbered list<?rh-list_start level="1" an="1" class="rl-p-1ListNumber" start="1" style="list-style: rh-list;   list-style: rh-list;" ?><p class="1ListNumber">instruction text.</p><?rh-list_end ?>alpha list<?rh-list_start level="1" an="1" c

If I right click on one of the screen layout pages in the Screen Layouts section of the Project Set-up area RoboHelp crashes.  If I create a new one the editor opens, but RoboHelp crashes as soon as I try edit it. I can manually edit the slp files in a text editor but this isn't particularly easy!I have RoboHelp 11.0.3.268.  I have tried creating an entirely new project and the same thing happens.  I am working locally on my desktop, publishing to a server.  I have not yet added any source control to the project.Any suggestions would be very welcome.
