Hello,I am running RoboHelp HTML v 9.0.2.271 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine, with Microsoft Office 2013 32-bit installed. When I try to generate printed output, I get a message box stating that "A supported version of Microsoft Word does not exist. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer." I have tried different projects, including the sample RoboHelp projects, and get the same message.I have read other similar questions, but for many of the people the problem was due to running a 64-bit version of Word.1) Is there somewhere in the RH interface that I can "select" the version of Word I am running or set the path to my Word install folder?2) Is there a fix available?3) Will upgrading to RH 11 fix the problem?Thank you for your input....
Hi all,We have just upgraded from RH5 to RH9. We are using IE9. All of our projects transferred over just fine - except for one. We are able to publish this topic; however, the images within the topics are not being displayed when we publish - we get the dreaded red 'x'. We can see the images when viewing the topics in RH. However, they are not listed in the images folder in the Project Manager. The images can be seen using Quick view and Internet view. However, they cannot be seen when we generate a Word document. Every other project is functioning properly. We can publish everything else just fine. This one project is our oldest project, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.Any guidance or direction will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Linda
I recently added a Robohelp 10 project to SharePoint source control. Now, when I attempt open the xpj from SharePoint, I recieve the following error and I cannot open the project: I can still successfully open the project from my local machine, and the source control appears to work, but my team members need to access the project from SharePoint. How do I resolve the cpd error?
Using robohelp 10 on win 7I have 5 conditional tags in my RH project. In some cases the text may be tagged with more than one conditional tag.I want to batch remove one tag from the content so all the content no longer uses this tag.Do I simply delete the tag from the conditional build pod?If not, how do I do it?
BackgroundWindows 7, 64-bit operating system.Upgraded RoboHelp 10 to RoboHelp 11 this week. Upgraded my RH10 WebHelp Proj project (released with our 2.0 application) to start editing for release with 3.0 application next June .The upgrade did not uninstall RoboHelp 10.I work from within Visual Studio 2010 Professional. (I know that this is not a Source Control thread, but my issues are intertwined here.)I create WebHelp Pro (even though we are not yet publishing to RH Server, although we're working on it!).I check the output into Release folders in Souce Control, and the build picks up the files for installation with our application. QuestionsIf I need to update the 2.0 application Help, does anyone know whether I can still use RH10 to update that project? (I've posed the question to an Adobe consultant, but have not yet heard back.)If I can't use RH10 to update the 2.0 application Help (and have to open the 2.0 project in RH11 and, therefore, upgrade it), are there new things in RH11
In Robohelp 10, Webhelp output, how do I change the width of the table of contents toc left navigation column? I want the column to be wider so the first toc entry isn't covered by the divider. Thanks.
I have a RoboHelp 10 project configured to use Team Foundation Server. When my user generates output (e.g. by previewing or 'Generate...') RoboHelp automatically tries to checkout the generated files (add or edit operations). I only want the source files to be added or checked out automatically, not the generated output. It is tying up Team Explorer on the user's computer each time this happens as hundreds of files are reconciled with TFS.How can I resolve my problem?BONUS problem I need solving:So the user has these files checked out because RoboHelp demands it (until my original question is solved). If another user tries to build the same files (like I just did) on another machine, RoboHelp complains that the file is already checked out (regardless if multiple checkout policy is enabled). Then I have to click OK on each file. How to stop this as well and allow multiple users to work on the same project?
Hi, I have a context-sensitive help generated using Webworks. I need to create a new context-sensitive help file using RoboHelp 10. How can get the Map IDs from Webworks?
Hello. I am generating WebHelp using conditional build tags using RH 11.I have marked books in the TOC with a CBT of Not in 6.1.I generated help and excluded content marked with the CBT Not in 6.1.When the Web Help is generated, the books marked with the CBT do not display in the TOC. However, if I do a search, topics that are under the books and therefore should not be included in the output have search results returned. Is there a scenario in which topics that have been excluded from the generated help would still show up in search?Your help is greatly appreciated.Jenny
Does anyone know if robohelp 7 is compatible with windows 8.1?
Greetings all:I have more years of experience with RoboHelp than I want to admit, but I have never run into this before. I have a published RoboHelp 9 project for an overseas client that displays exactly as it should when the published version is viewed by myself or another RoboHelp developer (not located where I am). However; the users at 1 of 2 two client sites do not see the left hand TOC window or the bar above the project with the buttons (the other site does see it). The users at both sites are using Internet Explorer 9, and I have been told there is no difference in their security set-up. I suspect that at the site where it is not displaying there is a security setting that is throwing it off, but I am not sure what to have them look for. Anyone have any ideas? W. Keith
We are considering using a Webtool like www.cleanuphtml.com to clean up the inline html styles in a large number of RoboHelp topics that were imported from Word several years ago. After the cleanup, we can still use the styles from our CSS. Does anyone see any potential problems here? Here's what the Cleanup tool adds to the Head section. It then uses these "internal" styles whereever it needs to clean up the HTML. Thanks - Charlie KyleHTML from Cleanup

AAANew Topic1

/**/p.cleanuphtml-13 { text-indent: -40px; margin
Hi,I've recently upgraded RoboHelp from version 8 to version 11. We support our application in IE8, IE9, IE10 and IE11, Chrome and Firefox as well. However, after generating the webhelp through RH11, I can see that in Firefox, the pages are properly formatted in the editing window, but in preview and when generated, the pages have no styling: no hanging indents, no shading or borders on the tables, no text fonts or colors. Moreover, in IE9, 10 and 11 i'm unable to view the output in the right pane. I'm only able to view the TOC and when i click on the topics, no help content is seen. I've a release scheduled for tomorrow. Any urgent help is highly appreciated.ThanksPriya
HiI have created the Glossary in FM using the following procedure:1, Select the text for Glossary term and assign the Glossary marker to it.2. In the Marker window, add a colon next to the term (as a separator) and enter the description.3. Click New Marker. When I generate the Glossary in FM, I get it right. However, when I import this to RH, the entire text in the Marker window is considered as the Glossary term and the paragraph which has the selected text comes out as the Glossary description.Where am I going wrong? Please advise.Sreekanth
I am using RH8. I need to update an existing WebHelp Project and was wondering if I could convert it to a Merged Web Help Project. I want to avoid starting from scratch. I am hoping that it can be done because two people will be working on updating the project simultaneously and I want to avoid using Source Control if possible. Does anyone have feedback or suggestions on tackling this? Thank you in advance for your input and help.
I have been working in a super clean FM and RH project that is has one to one mappings for all my styles in the FM to same named styles in RH, just to be sure I do not mess up. Still, though, I seem to get a mystery mapping. For my bullets and lists, RH is adding a span tag with font set to Times Roman. I cannot find *any* css that has Times Roman. I've checked things like my character tags, my cross reference tags, etc and cannot find a correlation. Where would this be added if it's not in my FM Format definitions and not in my RH Style definitions. I tried reimporting the book to see if it needed a tickle of the project mappings template but that didn't help.I'm attaching some images in hopes someone has ideas. The example does not appear to be times roman in Design view, but in more complex topics it's pretty obvious. I have so many hacks for single sourcing now, about ready to give up.Got help?FM 10RH 11
We have generated our Webhelp projects from RoboHelp 11. These display fine in Firefox on Windows. However, when viewing them on a Mac OS X version 10.9.2 with Firefox 28, an unresponsive script warning is encountered which cannot be resolved. Also, there is a lot of padding in the Index between the text field and the index entry. Screenshots are provided to show both of these issues. When viewed on Safari on the same Mac machine the Webhelp project is simply unresponsive. Is this a known issue with Mac OS X?
RH11 | WebHelpI apply breadcrumbs through the WebHelp Settings screen when I compile. This method applies them to every topic. However, it don't want to display them on my home page. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove breadcrumbs from an individual page after compilation?ThanksJonathan
I use RH 11. I want all images bordered in the same way. I try to use CSS for that but it does not work. What do I do wrong?,Aart Korstjensthe Netherlands
I am trying to build a robohelp project at the command line and it crashes. Building manually in the IDE works. I'm using RoboHelp11, and I want to custom size my TOC pane and the search field on the upper-right corner. I'm using WebHelp with the XP Blue skin. I tried changing the font sizes I was using, but that did not change or auto-adjust the pane size / field size. How do I adjust the sizing? Also, on the TOC, the book icons on the left are not displaying. The text is straight, left-justified, and I have to use the scroll bar on the bottom to see the book icons. How do I fix that? Is that a problem with how my browser is adjusted?I'm using IE11.I read the "Skinny on Skins," but you would think by now the manual code fixes would not be needed each time you generate 🙂 Thanks gener8r! If nothing else, I can resort to that...
I'm quite sure this is NOT possible, but I promised my localization coordinator, I'd ask. The issue is that we have localized strings (from RH, not from our translators) that are overlapping on the Next and Previous buttons in some languages in the Browse Sequences. Like this:I've looked, but I don't see a way to expand the button sizes. I know we can change the .lng file to use different (possibly shorter) terms than what RH picked for these, but a better solution would be to adjust the GUI for text expansion in localized languages.
I have RoboHelp 10. The page break before or after is not what I need because I don't want a page break if the text is in the middle of the page. I just want a low-level heading to stay with the following paragraph if it is at the bottom of a page. I don't want to use one of the official "Heading 4", 5, or 6 headings because in this document I need to have different indentations.Thanks.
