RH 11 Webhelp Our master page footer text looks good in a shaded border, but there seems to be no way to set the distance of the border from the Help content. I was able to set the distance by 1) removing the shade & border and 2) selecting the text and setting the paragraph Spacing Above to 18 px. It looks fine, if plain. Is there a way to: set the distance of a footer border from the Help content (the border is a footer property and doesn't seem to be selectable), orbetter maybe, set the footer at the bottom of the user's browser windowAlso, is 18 px deemed a good Space below content, or has someone seen a different recommendation?Thank you
Hi All,I am using FM11 and RH10. I have created the RH Template so that I can publish HTML5 Help directly from DITAMap in FM11.Everything works fine except that the browse sequence does not appear. Is it mandatory to import/link the FM Source - DITAMap to Robohelp to display the browse sequence. Can someone help me with a workaround as I do not want to import the entire help source into RH, when its so easy to publish it directly from FM11.Thanks in advanceSharada
Presently, i am using the Robohelp 5 version. The chm feel and look of this version is very outdated and doesn't give a modern appearance. I have visited other forums, but the commonly used methodology is to create a webhelp with the new skin settings and then convert to chm. But, this facility is not available in this version. Can you suggest any other solutions for this issue.
I'm using RH10. I can still run scripts, for example the word count script, but I cannot edit existing or create new scripts. The ExtendScript IDE just does not appear. No error message. No freezing of RH. Nothing. It did work. I don't know when it stopped because I didn't use scripts often. I've looked at everything I could find on-line. Anybody have any ideas?
I recently upgraded to RH11 and I cant view any external URLs from within the URL folder. The VIEW option is greyed out. How do I get this to work? What am I missing? I need to be able to open URLs from within the project without previewing a topic. This functionality was available in RH9.
Using RoboHelp v9.0.0.228 I have a master project which contains several merged TOCs and indexes for other CHMs. This has worked successfully for years, but has now stopped working in our translated CHMs. I have checked all the relevant settings and they appear to be correct. The English version still works correctly. Can you help please? Many thanks.
RH11 | WebHelpWe've been using RoboSource Control successfully for the last 12 months, but recently we've noticed that on the File Status tab in RH a large number of files have a status of "New version available". In addition, we've noticed today that the link between our projects and RSC is no longer working. The strange thing is that my colleagues and I can still open projects that are in RSC, and get the latest versions, but it still thinks there are newer versions available and any changes we make aren't being reflected on the server, i.e. we can't see each other's changes. I've tried disconnecting one of our projects from RSC and re-adding it, but it makes no difference.Has anyone encountered this behaviour before? We've been upgraded to Windows 8 recently and we've also upgraded our projects from RH10 to RH11. Could this be a factor?Any help would be much appreciated.UPDATE: It looks like the changes are being updated on the server, as I can right-click a file in source control th
I am running Robohelp 10.0.1.292 on a Windows 7 64-bit with 4GB of RAM. I have a Robohelp project with 1,969 topics from which I've successfully built three WebHelp outputs, but when I generate a CHM file using the same conditional tags as one of the WebHelp outputs, Robohelp consistently crashes on the same topic and produces two crash events in my Windows Event log: Event #1RoboHTML.exe 10.0.1.292 51493787 mfc100u.dll 10.0.40219.325 4df2e0e6 c0000005 0005cb9b f64 01cfa2a229b521c5 C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 10\RoboHTML\RoboHTML.exe C:\Windows\system32\mfc100u.dll e6b660f9-0e95-11e4-b500-001d0935163c Event #2RoboHTML.exe 10.0.1.292 51493787 ntdll.dll 6.1.7601.18247 521ea8e7 c0150010 0008482b f64 01cfa
[RoboHelp 9] Before building my CHM, I need to find out if any linked graphics are missing from the project's \graphics sub-folder. Is there any way I can make RoboHelp report missing graphics? The Broken Links report doesn't care if graphics are missing, only if hyperlinks are missing their targets. The Image Report just lists all the images referenced by the topics, but doesn't test if they are actually present in the required location. And if I build the help, the OutputLog.txt does not report that an image was missing. Any ideas how to detect missing images, before my CHM goes public?
Hello, Here is my issue:1) I import files via the project view (right click > Import > Select HTML files). 2) Files are "imported", including related images. 3) Although the folders in which the images are located are imported and shown in the project, the HTML file is missing from the project list. 4) When I attempt to re-import, the system complains that the file already exists in the project. I've attempted to delete the CPD file and reboot. No luck. The files still don't show up. When I create a page in the TOC and manually write the file name, the page shows up.NOTE: The pages all have a .html file extension (as opposed to .htm). This hasn't been an issue with other pages, however, which have .html extensions but still show up in the project view. TIA
Our clients are having trouble printing readable documents from the generated .CHM we provide. Text and images are being cut off and nothing I do to manipulate print settings will offset it. Any recommendations?
I just upgraded from RH7 to RH11.All topics in Design Editor appear as though the style sheet is not applied. The Normal style appears as Times New Roman - 12pt font, but it is defined in the style sheet as Arial 10pt.Hyperlinks appear in the correct font type, but 12pt instead of 10pt.Headings seem to be the only styles that appear correctly. When I preview the topic, or view it in a browser, everything looks correct, as it is defined in the style sheet. Is there some new setting for Design Editor, like "Ignore part of the style sheet"?Thanks...
Hi group!I have a glossy parent project that serves as a launch pad to other projects. Users click on a software component they want and are taken to a page with a list of all the documentation available for that component. Click on the name of a document and it accesses it - lots of PDFs. HOWEVER I would also like for them to be able to link to the online help for the component. Having read up on linking across/between projects, I knew I needed to create a parent project ( for the glossy intro and links page) and children projects (for the software components). SOI created a parent responsive HTML5 project and two children projects. I compiled the parent to create the mergedprojects folders, then open the children projects and compiled them into the appropriate mergedprojects folder. I then created a hyperlink from the documentation list html file in the parent project to the child software component html file (Output folder and start page [which is the same as the default topic]) and
When trying to create a CSS folder in style sheets it duplicates this folder in HTML Files, Images, and Multimedia how does one disable this from creating duplicates?
Hi,after I reinstalled Windows recently (Win 8.1 pro, 64bit), I also did a reinstallation of Robohelp 11.The installation completed without any problems. When I start the application, it ask me to register. Afterwards I have to enter my Adobe ID and passwort, and then a window with the EULA appeards. A click on the "accept"-button closes the window and the application quits without any further message. I even installed the 11.0.1 patch, but this doesn't help too. Does anyone have an idea how to get RH to work? Thanks in advance.robert
Greetings!I've spent days trying to find an answer and decided to turn to the great experts in these forums. My company is presented with a potential legal challnge and I really need someone's advise with something hopefully simpleHere are the details:1. We use Robohelp 9 and our the RH project in question uses subversion2. Each time we need to retire a topic, instead of completely deleting it from within Robohelp, we simply move it to a different sub-folder and exclude it from the searches, etc.3. We recently realized though that each tuime we move any topic to a different folder, all previous revisions disappear from the file logs. Since the file now has a new patch, the system just thinks it's a brand new topic that we've added4. We tried moving some of them back to the original folder to see if the logs will re-appear, alas no go.5. We do have a team that deals with subversion, alas they are no experts in Robohelp. They will be able to restore the old versions manually, but we won't
HiI am using RH10 as part of TCS4.I have two topics with the same name, Demonstration, under a book. In the project files, they are two separate HTML files containing different content. There are several topics between them in the ToC. When I select the 2nd Demonstration topic, the corresponding topic content opens in the content pane, but in the ToC the first Demonstration topic gets selected. Is this a bug or a feature? Any workaround? Please advise.Sreekanth
RH 11 QuestionIs there a Contents setting to associate a start page with a specific entry in Contents (not by topic name).ProblemThe application opens to Groups View. Clicking Help opens the Groups View topic (groups.htm). So far, so good. But for the start page, Contents points to a bookmark instead, because in the Contents, the bookmark precedes the main topic. (see below). The user doesn't notice because the bookmark is near the topic title. The contents navigation is off though.Contents1. Report Types Dist report (groups.htm#1_win) <-------- This is what the start page points to. The user doesn't notice, because the bookmark is near the top of the page. 2. Groups View (groups.htm) <-------- This is what the start page should point to, so navigation will match.Report Types needs to stay where it is. Is there a Contents setting to fix this? Thank you
I've tried three installations. I'm running RH 11 as Administrator, on Windows 7. It hangs on the splash graphic, during "initializing user data". It eventually does arrive at the workspace, it just takes quite a long time. Maybe that's normal, I don't know Anyone else run into this?
Hi,The values entered under 'Drop Down Hot Spot Text Editor' and 'Expanding Hot Spot Text Editor' is shown in the htm file by default expanded. This problem is coming in Robohelp 10. I am able to open the same content in Robohelp8 version from another machine, the texts are shown with hyperlink and it expand only upon clicking.I am using IE9.Could this be aproblem? Or any other suggestion in styling and formatting??
I'm using RoboHelp 11 to generate a native mobile app for Android. In the Generate Native Mobile App dialog box, I've downloaded PhoneGap, Android SDK, JDK, and Apache Ant. I've then used paths that I think would work. Here's a screen shot:When I attempt to generate the file, I see an error (below). Can you please recommend the exact path? I've looked at your documentation(Adobe RoboHelp 11 * Generate a native mobile app) and Tom Aldous's YouTube video (How To Create Android App From Your Training and Technical Manuals - YouTube). Does it matter where I download the files? Is RoboHelp 11 just compatible with certain versions of these downloads?
Hi all,I have two issues that I believe are related. I'm probably missing a simple step somewhere, since I can't find this issue covered in the forum or help. We just upgraded from RH7 to RH9. When I generated a project to test it, the CSS was not output (it was linked correctly in the project topics, but it was not output when the WebHelp was generated). Trying to open the CSS file directly lead to a 404 error. I was able to resolve that by checking the "Apply to all Topics" button and selecting the CSS file we use (see image). However, none of our lists--ordered and unordered--are formatted correctly. The font and size of the numbered lists is incorrect, nested lists all display with numbers, even if they're unordered lists, and stand-alone unordered lists uniformly use solid circles as bullets, where previously they used small squares, hollow circles, or a triangle image. The CSS is called correctly from within the topic, the lists are formatted to use the styles, and the styles are
Im wondering that a big company like adobe offering online payment services is not able to sell his products online to thier customers. When I try to buy that product which is about 1.400 Euros, it tells me my account has the wrong country.Well I am in Austria.
