Setting HTML tag defaults

Using robohelp 10 on win 7Is there a way to change or set the HTML tag used by WYSIWYG "formatting" toolbar?For example, when i click "bold" using the formatting toolbar it creates a span tag <span style="font-weight: bold;">instead of simply using <b> tag. I would like to change this attribute so the <b> tag is applied instead of <span>.

Live stream skipping

When  watching live streaming on flash-based video it skips in time, shooting back from 'live' to an hour before, back to live, back to an hour before and so on. I've disabled 'enable hardware accelloration' to see if that helps, but it doesn't.

Breadcrumbs only going two levels

I am having a couple of issues with Breadcrumbs in my project. This is a Framemaker book imported over into Robohelp. I used the original Framemaker TOC and the Robohelp topics are based on the original book chapters. When I generate WebHelp, I can generate Breadcrumbs at the top of topics. However, I run into a couple of issues. 1) The Breadcrumb trail only goes from Home to one topic at a time. If I navigate from one topic to another (and not from Home to a topic), the Breadcrumb will still only show Home > Topic at the top of the page. It will not show both topics. In other words, I can't use the Breadcrumb links to get back to the topic I came from. 2) I have a couple of topics where the Breadcrumbs do not show up at all at the top of the page. I suspect it is because these topics are too long and have multiple third-level topics within them. I have tried putting Breadcrumbs in a master page, but have the same problem. Table Header not repeating in Printed Documentation

While generating the word document from RH9 (adobe tech comm suite 3.5), the Table Header rows are not repeating across pages. I have tried all options in Word, but of no use. But, if i insert a new table in the same word document, the table header row repeats. Does this have anything to do with the Robohelp Settings during WORD conversion?

Images loose alignment on epub

Import from Word creates bad html

using Word 2010 and Robohelp 10I cannot find a "convert text to table" option in Robohelp so I assume you must create the table from scratch or import the table, correct?Importing word docs using tables and lists creates html with a lot of formatting garbage (in my opinion)i created Word doc with only a simple table that only used the most basic "table grid" word table style format. How can I create a PDF directly from RH10?

It seems a bit absurd that the creators of PDF don't have any way to output a RH10 project directly to a PDF without using Word. Perhaps I'm missing something but I don't get why the resulting PDF ALWAYS has a screwed up TOC. It doesn't recognize the bookmarks as does HTMLhelp or WebHelp. (My source docs are HTMs for all projects)

How to import pages from one project into another

Hi Folks,I compiled our help documentation into a project and am wondering how I can copy parts of my project into a new project. I'm trying to spilt out the project into smaller ones (management wants to compartmentalize the updating into other units and not have 1 master project). I tried to move my .html folders and supported images etc. into a new project but it wouldn't recognize them.Besides making multiple folder copies of the entire project then customizing each. Is their a way to import pages from another project? The Resources pod seems to be only for Master Pages etc.Thanks,Joel

Auto-Sizing Popups Not Displaying as Expected

I'm updating an existing project, using RH 10.0.1.292.Recently, I've noticed that auto-sizing popups that appear fine when I generate and view my primary layout, do not display correctly when the project is opened from its associated application.Example of a popup opened in the RH environment:Example of the same popup opened from the application's Help:The windows in which these popups are opening are the same size, so it would seem that the size of the popups should also be the same. These popups used to work correctly in this project. Unfortunately, I am not exactly sure when they stopped working. Does anyone have an idea as to what would cause this?

Ordered and Unordered Lists viewed in WYSIWYG Editor in RoboHelp 10

I recently upgraded a project from RH 9 (9.0.2.271) to RH 10 (10.0.0.287). Ordered and unordered lists display in the WYSIWYG Editor with more spacing around each line. When I generate the output to HTML Help, the spacing looks fine. I also tested generating output to WebHelp, and again, the output looks fine.I have paragraph and list styles defined in my style sheet that I apply to the text in the topic. I also looked at the styles in RH 10 and Media is set to "None." Using the Style Pod, I looked at the set up of the parapgraph and list styles. For those styles, (and my body text styles - which look fine in the WYSIWYG Editor) have spacing before and after spacing set. (NOTE: These styles were created in RH8 and the WYSIWYG Editor displayed the styles appropriately in RH8 and RH9.) Even though I changed the style sheet, the WYSIWYG Editor is still displaying more space around the styles then I am expecting.I know this is not a huge issue since the output looks fine, but I want to und

Problem importing .png graphics from Word 2010 document into Robohelp 10

I'm importing Word 2010 documents (originally created in Word 2003) to Robohelp 10. All the images in my Word documents are .png files. Because I want them to remain .png files in Robohelp, I've selected the "Allow PNG as a Graphics Format" checkbox in Word. However, it seems that Robohelp will only pass through .png files when the images are 100%. If they are less than 100%, it converts them to poor quality .jpg files. Is there a way around this so I don’t have to resize hundreds of images before conversion? Also, Robohelp converts .png images in Word tables to .jpg files even when the images have not been resized (that is, they are 100%). Is there a way I can import images within tables as .png graphics?

Formatting Issues Using FM Linked RH

We are currently using TCS 4 and Windows 7 (in case this makes a difference). Things are fine in our native RH template however when we use our template that is linked to FM, we are having major issues. Our graphics are right-aligned, our bullet styles are not consistent, our note styles are right-aligned and not holding their styles and our fonts are matching up in several places.Is this an issue with the CSS, with FM or RH? We aren't even sure where to begin.Thanks in advance.

Problem publishing WebHelp using http

I'm feeling dumb here.I've always published using ftp, but a security audit has temporarily blocked our ftp port, so I'm trying http.  And I keep getting a Connection Failed error.There doesn't seem to be any place for the user name and password in the publishing wizard.  Am I missing something obvious?  And the Help files give me nothing, as usual.I tried www.grainge.org, but didn't see anything there.  (Thanks for this, Peter.)Thanks for any help.Marion

Imported a .h map file, no Map IDs show

Background: RoboHelp 10 project, linked to a FrameMaker 11 book, HTML Help output. No errors or missing resources on update of Fm book.After linking the project to a Fm book with TopicAlias markers selected for CSH, I imported a .h map file used by the developers and did a Force Update All. The imported map file shows up under the Map Files node in the Project Set-up pod. But when I double-click it, nothing displays in the Map IDs panel on the left side of the Edit Map IDs dialog box.I thought 1) specifying TopicAlias markers for CSH during link setup, and 2) importing the developers' .h file would map the IDs to the topics.Am I doing something wrong in the linking or .h import steps? I really don't want to have to manually edit the topic IDs in BSSCDefault.h--there are hundreds of them.

Page Ranges in Indexes

Hello, I have a long document being inported into RH9 from FM10. Many of the index markers in the FM book use <$startrange> and <$endrange> variables, to make page ranges. These show up in RH as unnessesary duplicate entries. Is there a way to set the index to only use one entry for the RH output without destroying my FM index?Thanks in advance.

Any ideas why RH10 repeatedly crashes when I'm editing the html?

Hi.I've started cleaning up my html, to ensure my lists are neat-as.But within one working day, RH10 has crashed five times.That's a lot of annoyed tea breaks for me. Lucky I breathe with [Ctrl + S].Does this happen to anyone else? Is there something I should look for, that I could fix? I checked the release notes of that patch—this crashing wasn't listed. And I'm on Windows 7.Thanks in advance.

See Also topics not displaying

I'm using RH8 on Windows 7 and IE10. I have two issues.When I generate the help, the default topic displays. However, if I click any page within a book, the right-pane displays blank. I am generating with no skin option selected. Announcements of the forum has fixes for RH9 and RH10. Can any one help me for RH8.See Also topics are not displaying. When I click the See Also button, topics are not displayed, when I scroll up, to the start of the page, See Also topics are displayed over there. How to fix this any idea ?Thanks

How to move existing project into upgraded Robohelp?

I have multiple existing help projects in Robohelp maintained in version 7, and we are upgrading to version 10. Will I be able to open these projects in the new version without taking additional steps, or are there concerns I should be aware of? Would a new project need to be created? One user cannot view Search or Index results

We are publishing in RoboHelp 9. The output is fine. Everyone else can view the output file.But one person is having issues. He can view the Contents button just fine. If he clicks on Search and enters a search term, nothing comes up. Index is even worse. Not only does nothing come up when he enters a term, but the Index keywords does not automatically display for him when he clicks on the button. These behaviors are inconsistent with everyone else here.My first thought was that maybe there is a permission issue, but he can access the help file. He can view the TOC. There is something preventing him from seeing the Index and Search results. Any ideas what could cause this?Kevin
