Hello, I’m trying to import xliff files from our translation partner and the import dialog/progress bar is stuck endlessly on “Importing”.  I’ve tried copy-pasting parts of the translation <tartget> into a freshly exported xliff and that one gets imported without an issue in a second. I’ve check that both files have the same header and  encoding if that could be a problem. Did anyone encoutered this? Any ideas what I might try?

I have recently duplicated a RH2020 project to do help updates for a new software release. This project is ouput to several versions for three different legacy softwares and two different languages. The final versions bundled with the sofware are HTML and WebHelp. Output to Word format is used during the update process to provide changes to reviewers and translators. My problem is that, no matter which preset I use, I get an error saying output failed to generate. I have not really made any content updates yet but I had changed some snippets and thought maybe I had messed something up. However, I went back to my previous project which has not been changed since all presets were successfully generated a few months ago. Once again, every preset is failing to generate output. I was on version 6 of RH2020 so I tried updating to latest version 7.46 but this did not make a difference. I have tried creating a test with only a single topic but that will not generate in any format eit

Hi all, Does anyone know of a simple way to indent entire sections of a page? The section includes headings, lists with levels, normal text etc. I have pasted a before and after example below. In the example the Headings B and C (inclusing all text within those sections) are indented.Each heading should retain its own format aswell (e.g. h1) Before: Heading AText text text. Heading BText text text.List:  1. item1  2. item2 Heading CText text text.Text text text. Heading DText text text.  After:  Heading AText text text.       Heading B      Text text text.      List:        1. item1        2. item2       Heading C      Text text text.      Text text text. Heading DText text text.  Thanks!Felix

We are using a trial version of RoboHelp. After successfully opening our most recent project, the software froze. Nothing was clickable except the toolbar with "File_Edit_View...", which showed dropdowns when hovering on them, but they were unresponsive as well.   I opened and closed a couple other projects with success, then re-opened the one that was frozen. It seems fine now. What was the problem? Does it happen occasionally?   As I said, this is just a trial version, and it does not bode well in our HAT comparison.   Our trial is less than 30 days old, FYI.   Help?   [Mod note - moved from Audition forum to here]  

Hello! I'm using RoboHelp Version 2020.7.46. I'm currently publishing certain topics, however I'd like people to be able to download the topics as a pdf. I have all the pdf's ready and don't need to generate them. In the output skin editor I can see this:Is it possible to give every topic it's own pdf to download, because if I do this every topic gets the same pdf.  Have a great day!

We are long time Robohelp 8 users and with a new release of our in house application pending I want to upgrade help authoring to RH2020. I downloaded a trial version to experiment and logged in using an apple ID account. The first session worked fine but after I closed RH it's basically been a brick. I can open it and I can drop down the menus but no commands can be invoked. I cannot create / open / upgrade a project or execute any other commands. I have tried uninstall and reinstall to no effect. I had thought to switch credentials to another account but cannot access the login screen nor locate where previously entered login details are stored on disk. They clearly are stored because I do not get asked to enter them again after re-install.I have somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks of the evaluation period left. Robohelp techsupport have been as useful as a chocolate teapot in this. Not even an acknowledgment. So, if I may:- Is anyone else using RH 2020 on Windows 11 ?- Can

Hello, I'm using RoboHelp 2020.7.46, using a master project with 2 child projects. The child projects are linked in the master project TOC, and all the topics in each child project are in their respective TOC. I'm using Responsive HTML 5 output, and I have the project setup as below:Master project:C:/R/Guide/Guide/MasterChild 1:C:/R/Guide/Guide/Children/User_GuideChild 2:C:/R/Guide/Guide/Children/Procedure_Manual The published projects output directories are:Master:R:/Child 1:R:/mergedProjects/User_GuideChild 2:R:/mergedProjects/Procedures_Manual I'm having trouble linking between projects, though. If I link a topic from Child 1 to Child 2 using the "Local Files" option, it shows up in the preview, but the link doesn't work in the output. If I edit the html so it points to ../../../../../mergedProjects/Procedures_Manual[...] it works in the output but shows as a broken link in my project.  My other problem (but this is possibly for anoter thread) is that m

Hi all,I have an issue with the search not working in the current version 2020.7.46 for my existing project. It is a merged project and I am using an responsive HTML5 output. I only see the loading spinner, no matter how long it takes.When I create an output of the parent project, the search works.When I create the child project and call the help directly from the output window (using the eye icon), the search works exactly 1 time. After that or when I move to the main page of the output, the search is no longer working. The following error message is displayed in the console:The problem apparently does not occur with a merged project using the sample projects.I have already tried the following:- created a new parent project with TOC containing only one child (tested with different of my child projects)- using a new Azure Blue skin for the outputs instead of my customized skin- removing my conditional tags from the output- removing my content filter from the output Nothing helped.

When I publish a file to SharePoint in RH 2020. the publishing message stays open even though the publishing job is finished. I have to close RH and reboot to get it to go away.

I am working on RoboHelp Version 2020.5.71, and I have created a Responsive HTML5 Output.  I provided the team the Help Content, and when they click on the Show Link (to open the TOC/Books), it is broken (as the below example): Now, When I look at my Output File Structure, I noticed somehow I have TWO First_Topic.htm files.  One of them is hanging outside of the main Folder Structure of the Help file and the other inside of the Help File main folder hanging out by itself (as in the picture below):   When I go to generate my output, I have the Start Page pointing to the First_Topic.htm (that is hanging outside of the Help File) and not the imbedded one. I tried doing the imbedded one but it doesn't generate the output correctly.  Is there a way to fix the Show Link broken link that I am missing?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks! I am not sure what I am doing wrong.... should I ask the development team to point to the  

Hi Team,I'm using Frameless output for my content and as I generate, the output lands on Frameless homepage. I would like the content to land directly on the Topic page, I would like to remove the homepage from the output. Could someone please help me with this? Thanks in advance,Avinash S

I noticed something weird. I have a Frameless help output. Everything works fine. Just the search has suddenly started some weird behavior. Whatever I search takes a very very long time to get results. The results don't show up but gives a message about unresponsive page. Any idea why?

Is it possible to see the text that the user will see in the TOC, not the variable name?I used the info in https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp-discussions/not-able-to-add-variable-in-title-of-html5-output/m-p/12557292#M141813 to add the variable to my TOC, as shown below. Also shown below is that "SectionName_Overview" is defined as "HCIS Disaster Recovery Documentation." What I haven't figured out is how to see ""HCIS Disaster Recovery Documentation" in the TOC where {SectionName_Overview} is displayed below. I went under View and toggled the "Variables" option back and forth to no effect. Version 2020.7.46

Hi all,Apologies if this has been asked previously, I did search but couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm a new RoboHelp user and fairly comfortable with the functions of the software, but haven't been able to find a setting for what I'm trying to do. This is also my first post in the support community 🙂  I'm currently adding some "Page Contents" boxes to the top of  some of my user guide pages. The contents boxes use links to page bookmarks within each page. I'm creating the links by dragging them in from the contents panel. The trouble is, when I drag in the links they display the filenames rather than the bookmark titles, and so they display complete with underscores. Is there a setting anywhere in RoboHelp to make it use the title rather than the filename when dragging and dropping links?I've also attached some photos of what I'm doing, just in case I didn't describe it clearly! In the first and second photos below, you can see I've used dropdown te

Hi,This may sound like a silly question, but how are the cookie dialogue box & footer supposed to work?Is the cookie dialogue box created externally? I'm unable to configure anything from Robohelp or the skin editor it seems. As for the footer, I get that you can use any topic as your footer, but is there a template that anyone has for a simple collection of possible links, as per the example in the skin editor i.e. Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, etc.?Thanks, Francis 

I am working in a project that was converted from RH2019 Classic and is now running on RoboHelp 2020.6.76. I have some table style updates I want to apply and these will work best if I can use the table header functionality. But right now when I click "Convert to Header" the style that is being applied is not the style I want. This is what my table looks like right now with the header manually formatted using a paragraph style.  And this is what I see when I select "Convert to Header":It keeps my formatting for the words, but the table loses its borders completely. Here's what I have for the css. Hi Team,I have a small query in Framless output. I'm working on a content which has couple of subtopics, Sub-subtopics. When I used Frameless output to view my content. In Right side navigation bar, all my subtask appears as an individual headings, but it's not appearing as a tree expand structue. I saw in Peter Grainge's website, he used same frameless output and all the subtopics are aligned under the respective headings in an tree-expand order. I'm trying to achieve the same but I couldn't figure out how to do. I have attached screenshots of your site and my content for reference. Fed up with repeatedly clicking these icons to increment/decrement the value? Click on whichever icon once, then hold down the Enter key until you reach the value you want. Easy when you know how.   Note though it may not work in all instances. It would be great to have a SHOWCASE post with links to websites with modifications of the various standard Robohelp skins.  I'm particularly interested in how others may have modified the Frameless-Studio skin.  But any other skin modifications would be great to see, too.  Please reply to this post with links that may help others brainstorm their own skin modifications.  Thanks!

Using RH2020.7.46Can any image be used when applying twisties?I have two .png images (expand and collapse) that appear in preview but do not appear after publishing.Additionally, when I click either Image Placement icon (to place the twisty image to the left of the drop down title or the right of the drop down title) the file paths to the twisty images disappear.Any suggestiongs?

Hey folks,I am trying to send a rhpj file to another user to work on. We've done this before, but I can't remember what we did. When I send it to her now, she opens it and none of the topics display. Please advise-- I have a feeling it's something small we're missing! I sent her the published version too-- we both had a memory that we needed to do something with that to make it work. 

I am converting our current Online Help to a ServiceNow Knowledge Base.  The Robohelp pages have a lot of of cross referencing and bookmarks.  I see some of the pages I sent over to test the publishing process have broken links mostly due to ServiceNow assigning a KB number (KBxxxx) to every page in place of the page's filename. Is there any guidance/best practices on preserving the links before I publish the entire 300+ page project over to ServiceNow?

I'm having an issue using the <pre></pre> tags in RH2017.We have code snippets in our help topics that use multiple spaces to indent and align the code. In our language translation application, these spaces get stripped out causing the code to be one continuous line and loses all this whitespace formatting.After some testing it was found that by using the pre tags such as in the snippet of code below, the language translation software is able to process the lines of code without stripping out the whitespace.One issue I'm facing is when I apply the <pre> tags over the entire code snippet which, in this case, are contained within <div> tags:It looks fine in the RoboHelp Design view:But in RoboHelp Preview view (Ctrl+W) or when I publish the topic, RH for some reason inserts a blank line after each line in the code. Here's what it looks like after I drag my mouse over the lines of code in the browser to show the blank lines:If I apply the <pre> tags just over
