Hi @CHANDAN27921852wyx9,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Would you mind letting us know the location of the PDF? If the file is on a cloud drive, have you tried copying it to your local storage and then trying to make the highlights?

The location could be a primary reason you cannot see the changes you made using Acrobat.

Look forward to hearing from you.

-Souvik.

@CHANDAN27921852wyx9  and @S. S

I just did a little playing around. I highlighted something in Acrobat for Mobile, then closed the file and reopened it. Even if I keep the file open, I can see my highlight with Liquid Mode off and the highlight disappears when I enable it again.

I don't know if this is a feature or a bug, but can you tell us if you see your highlighting when Liquid Mode is off?

This file was stored On This iPad. I then opened a file in Adobe Cloud Storage that already had comments and got the same results when I toggled the Liquid Mode button.

Hi @jane-e,

The workflow you are referring to above is designed behavior.

The feature to have annotations and comments working with Liquid Mode has already been raised. I cannot commit a date for the implementation, but this is in the pipeline for a future release.

Hello,

You have to save the file while closing it. Hit CRTL+S while closing the file. This worked for me.

Thanks,

Tamzid

This thread is about Acrobat Reader for Mobile, not desktop. Your shortcut for Save won't help here.

This has been occuring for me on desktop as well. I have several pages highlighted, I save and then re-open and all the highlighting is lost. When I have to do this as a reporting requirement for the Govt this is a very important feature that is not working!!! How can I fix this so I can finish my work?

Hi @tamzid_hussain_khan

I hope this message finds you well, and thank you for reaching out to us!

I’ve attempted to reproduce the issue on my end, and everything seems to be functioning as expected.

To help us pinpoint the problem more accurately, could you please clarify whether this issue occurs with a specific PDF file or with all PDFs? It would be helpful if you could try opening a different PDF and let us know if the problem persists.

Additionally, could you share the following details:

  • The version of the Acrobat Reader mobile app you are currently using.
  • Your device’s operating system (iOS or Android) and the version of the OS.

If you haven’t already, please try updating the app through the Play Store (for Android) or the App Store (for iOS), then reboot your device and check if the issue resolves.

Lastly, if possible, it would be immensely helpful if you could provide a short video recording showing the steps you’re taking and how the issue occurs. This will give us a clearer picture and allow us to assist you more effectively.

Thank you for your time and cooperation. We look forward to your response.

~Amal
