Can you try once after clearing the cache/cookies of the browser you're working on? Sometimes, such errors get resolved with this method. If this still persists, please share a screen recording of the workflow with the issue, and I'll bring this up with the team.
Same problem here. New text boxes can be resized without scaling the text, but erlier created text boxes scales the text when I try to resize only the box. Tryed cleaning the web browser cache – no change. Tried in Google Chrome and Safari.
Could you check the Text layout for the text boxes you are having difficulty resizing without scaling?
If you are using the Dynamic text layout, you will see resize handles on corners only, and these will cause scaling.
However, if you switch to the Default text layout, you should see additional handles on the sides that let you adjust the width, without causing scaling.
I have found this to be very frustrating as well. However, I just stumbled on a way to stretch the text box as you would prefer it to be. Select your text box with the text tool and then open the preferences panel on the upper right bar, next to the warp icon. Then change the V/A setting from metrics to "Optical". I found this unlocked the text box and I could stretch it as required. Hope this helps someone else as there was not one useful response from Adobe anywhere about this.
Yes when I go to apply text to a photo I can not drag, resize, turn, or move the text at all. This just started today as it has been working fine. I emptied my cache but that did not fix the issue.I tried different formats vector, jpeg, png all the same issue.
