When I upload a video to schedule, and select my thumbnail from a frame, it dosen't get posted. The video post on my feed is a random frame that I didn't select.

Hi

@jamiec53528976

,

Thanks for your patience. Have you tried using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) to see if it makes a difference? Also, try clearing the browser's cache and cookies and let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun

Came here for a solution - thumbnail selected for scheduler is random - in fact it doesn't even look like a still from the final video. Would change later in IG but that doesnt let you because it's been added via Scheduler! Not going to create work/ an extra step by adding a screen grab - basd enough you have to download the whole clip before you can add captions...duh.

Same problem here, it doesn't select the frame I chose in Adobe... It does choose the thumbnail in other media like Tiktok.

Changing browers didn't fix the issue. Why does a basic feature like this not work? (Looking for another application that does work rn)

Hello @ohquicklyk85350145. We are here to help.

Here are a few steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Use Manual Upload: Try downloading the video from Adobe Express with the selected thumbnail and uploading it directly to Instagram to confirm if the issue persists.
  2. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes browser cache can interfere with the syncing process. Clear these and retry scheduling your post.
  3. Verify Thumbnail Support on Instagram: Ensure Instagram supports custom thumbnails for videos posted through third-party tools. Their API might override selections.

If the issue continues, I recommend you share a detailed description, including the browsers and devices you've tested. We can provide more insights or a potential fix. Thanks, ^CA
