Hi, someone please tell me why the file does not download from Adobe Express Project, when i try to download in a pdf format, it keeps loading and loading. Someone please tell me the solution.
Hi @TheKurt
Thank you for sharing your document with us! We had just deployed a fix that makes your document good to download now.

I never found a solution. Printed the low res PNG's in the end and will just never use Adobe Express for files that need to be printed anymore. Apparently there is a limit to the amount of info that can be processed for PDF, when your documents are too complex (for instance many adjusted images), AE is just not the right tool.
It just would have be nice to get a warning about that before starting a complex design

It's a piece of crap, over priced fiasco software with no customer assistance.

Does downloading in multiple smaller sets of pages as suggested here work?

Nick,
I never did get a resolution either. However, when I used different templates, the PDF would dowload. But instead of doing all the work over at first, I chose a template edited it a little, then downloaded the PDF to ensure it worked. Once that happened, then I finished the project.
I think it may just come down to either a) specific templates and/or b) specific elements within certain templates.

I had actually followed up with you via a private message in response to your post here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-express-bugs/cannot-download-pdf/idc-p/14580081#M16600 but didn't hear back. Though it's possible I missed your response.
In any case, we deployed a fix for the "Something went wrong" symptom earlier this week. Instead, you would now get the real underlying error that's a little more explanatory (as you suspected, it is related to unavailability of a Stock image in the template you were using).
But glad you found a workaround.
Thanks,
Abhi G

Hi Nick,
I checked the logs associated with your account. The logs suggest that PDF is actually failing because of the size of the request made to the PDF servers. This often happens if you have a lot of images with filters applied. Do you also have a lot of pages? If so, you could try downloading them in smaller batches.
Feel free to send me a direct message if you are willing to share your Express file, so we can looking into workarounds.
To send a private message, navigate to https://community.adobe.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/11927426 in the browser where you are signed in with your Adobe id, then click the Message button.

Same issue here, downloading stops at 90% and after a long wait, will get an error notice: Download failed. An error occured while downloading your file. Please try again.
Since there are quite many items in the design, I copied the pages to individual documents as suggested in this thread before, but that doesn't seem to help. I also tried Chrome instead of Firefox (both fully updated), but that doesn't seem to help either. Also tried opening the file in Illustrator or Photoshop via Cloud to export there, but that doesn't seem to be an option yet. Downloading as PNG works, but that would be too small a file size for a great print quality.
Are there any other suggestions? Am working against a printing deadline this week. Thanks in advance!
P.s. if this is a file/image size issue, is there a way to know when you reach server capacity? Is there a workaround that if you have desinged something in Express, you can still download and print it?

Hi
@RO Suzan,
We're sorry to hear about this. Please share a few more details on this, like how many pages are in your project and whether it has a large number of images. Did you create it from the existing template, or did you create it from scratch? Are you getting any error messages?
please make sure that the network endpoints listed on https://adobe.ly/4cASXXM are allowed.
If that doesn't help, please share your project URL with us to investigate further.

Tarun

It seems that this is the second big bug in Adobe Express. The first one is to not be able to add shadows and the second one is to not being able to download properly. Spending ages on a design, only to find out that there is no way that it can be printed, because it's too big? A great reason to never use Adobe Express again.
Yes, there were images. Yes, the background of the images was removed. And yes, it was built from scratch. But even when trying to export only small pieces of the design at the time, to paste them back into place in Illustrator, I could only export like max. 8 images before getting the same error.
There really should be a warning sign, something to tell you that your design is now getting too large to export, rather than let people create whatever, only to find themselves with a huge problem. But maybe that could be added in future updates?

I'm also unable to download from Express. My file is a two page .pdf, uploaded from Adobe Acrobat Pro and using Safari 17.5 on Mac OS Ventura. The files does not include any images. I've tried both downloading the file, and as each poage a seperate file. The download button appears to work normally and I do not get any error messages; just no file downloaded.

Hi, I'm still having the same issue. I can download my presentation in JPEG but the quality isn't ideal. When I try in PDF, I get to 90% before an error message comes up. Help!!

Hi
@Caitlin380677578xtf
Thanks for reaching out. Is this happening with all projects or with some specific ones? Did you add assets from the Adobe stock or from the local device? Are you getting any error messages? If so, can you share a screenshot of the issue?
Also, if possible can you share the project URL with us to investigate the issue? Please give us the edit access, or you can share via private message.
