P: Cannot upload reference image [merged thread]

Community Beginner ,
Nov 13, 2025 Nov 13, 2025

I’m currently unable to upload photos to Firefly for editing, despite the service working for only about a week and a half. Considering the cost, this disruption is unacceptable. Please address this issue promptly or provide a full refund.

This problem is being investigated by Adobe.

UPDATE as of 2025-11-21:

Adobe has identified an interaction with Firefox which causes this problem. If you are experiencing this is Firefox, please use an alternative browser until this problem is resolved. If you are experiencing this problem with a browser other than Firefox, please indicate your OS, Browser and their version numbers. A screen recording demonstrating the problem would also be helpful.

My best,

Hey @Ofer2326362547ga

I am not exactly sure what's happening.
1) I find that I sometimes have to hoover over the box for a moment or 2.
2) Press on the box and it should prompt you select from your Adobe Creative Cloud or Device.
3) If these suggestions don't work, please let the team know.

Cheers

Nate

Hi @Ofer2326362547ga,

You tried another brower and it still failed?

What OS and browsers have you tried and what versions of them?

Thanks,

I have been using the same 3-4 reference images for the past 9 months without issue

(jpg, under 250kb and approx 960 x 960 @72ppi).

I am no longer able to upload those exact same reference image(s) from My Device (see attached screenshot) while using my desktop PC i.e., I go through the motions but NOTHING happens/image does NOT upload.

FF_111725_JM.jpg

Changing model makes no difference

Changing from image to video/vid to img makes no difference

First noticed issue week of Nov 2 - 8, 2025

  • Windows 10 (w/Extended Security Updates)
  • Firefox 145.0 and previous version
  • AdBlocker Ultimate ON - issue exists
  • AdBlocker Ultimate OFF - issue exists
  • firefly.adobe.com was added to AdBlocker Ultimate Whitelist on day one last year and has been working without issue until a week or so ago when something in Firefly changed
  • AdBlocker Ultimate is the only Firefox extension I use.

Same reference images and methods for uploading indicated above work fine on
iPad Air 11" M2 (A2902), iPadOS 18.7.2,
   Adobe Firefly app v25.11.13
Safari browser FF on the web
Firefox browser v145.1 FF on the web

and used to work fine on the desktop PC described above

A change in Firefly was made during or shortly after Max. Please undo it or fix it so that I can work with the software I'm paying for (and no, I don't want to "work" on an iPad when my desktop is better in every way).

@Kartika Rawat

Hello Kartika,

so that it is clear for you and others and that there is not hint or error message and that it even is not realy necessary what OS Version or something it is, i made a video about it.

But one thing if you try you have to know, if i open firefly and log in newly, i can put "one Time" an image, but afte that one only it is no longer possible to put in a new one! So if yoz try the same, the first one works and that probaly will irretate you. 😉

So in the Video you can see that the fresh installed Brave Browser works fine instead of Firefox.

Thanks for your feedback! 🙂

Hello,
Until recently, I was able to upload reference images to the “Composition → Reference” section without any issues. However, for the last few days, I have been completely unable to add images—neither by clicking “Add Image” nor by dragging and dropping from my desktop.

I verified the following:

The images I'm trying to upload have no problems with size, resolution, or format (same files used to work before).

I’m following the exact same workflow I was using previously.

My browser, cache, and cookies have been cleared.

I tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge), but the issue continues.

Other image upload areas in Firefly work normally—only the Reference section fails to accept files.

The interface simply does not respond when selecting a file or dragging one into the upload area. No error message appears; the upload action is ignored entirely.

I’m attaching screenshots showing the Reference panel where the upload no longer functions.

Could you please check this issue? It seems like a recent regression.

Thank you.

I want to make a transition between scenes using the first frame and the last frame technique in the Fire Flay model or other models. But I can't upload my image to the program over the table or otherwise

LATEST
  1. Versão do aplicativo: Firefly é uso online, pelo navegador, versão disponível 11/21/25 12:00PM; Navegador firefox 145.0.1 (64-bits)
  2. Plataforma e versão do sistema operacional: Windows 10 22H2
