You have updated Adobe XD to the latest version
The button disappeared "Fix position when scrolling"
I do not know how to fix this problem
<The Title was renamed by moderator>
It appears in Prototype mode. Switch workspace to Prototype, select an object and "Fixed position when scrolling" checkbox becomes active in the right panel.

Can you change this back so we don't have to flip between design and prototype mode while we're working on objects? This change is stupid totally ridiculous. Did anyone test this before the change? It make the workflow choppy and requires far to much "remembering" for which objects you want to fix in place as you switch between design and prototype mode.

I thought I was going crazy - the option seems to have disappeared completely.
I have selected an object (top header area, grouped, brought to top) and STILL don't see the box to check. Even in prototype mode. What's going on? Where did they hide it...and WHY did they do this? It seems like it must have been a pushed update, not an opt-in so there wasn't any warning about this changed functionality.

Its simple!
1. select the element you want to be fixed on scroll
2. go to prototype mode and on the right panel at the bottom select "fix position when scrolling"
3. Booyah!! you are good to go.

Why is it Adobe can't seem to decide where features belong? Constantly moving things around without making it clear. All tutorials on the web now incorrectly refer to the old position of the checkbox and I thought I was going crazy.

Can you also make a note or update the video tutorial?
Step 08: Make the Header Sticky - YouTube
This tutorial shows the feature in the Design View

Updated. Fine. Moved it. Fine. Not updating the tutorial. Not fine!

I think a big piece of feedback would be to ensure the tutorial is updated when a major interface change is made. It also does seem odd that the scrolling mechanism would be in Design View but this one function would be randomly in Prototype View. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this change.

I'm running through the tutorial right now to see if XD is worthwhile, but when the tutorial tells you to use an option that doesn't exist in the toolbar (on the screen you're on), it's a really poor experience, and makes me wonder whether XD is even a stable product worth using.
I totally get that products change, and at this point, I really don't care where the option is, but I actually had to find this page to figure it out when I'm doing a pre-installed tutorial.

Hello i was trying the fixed position for my header as mentioned above.
I see that the issue is fixed for the iPhone version but the same still is unsolved in the web design version.
i have tried in both the Design and Prototype workspace, the option is not available.
i wanted clarity if this is not available in the WEB design version at all or it was missed out in the update??
Hope to get clarity on this issue as soon as possible.

Would be wonderful if Adobe would be so kind as to put a comment about this update on their Youtube tutorial video (seeing as how commenting is disabled for you and me). It's a small but massively frustrating experience to follow the company's own tutorial and then arrive at a dialog where the command is simply missing from the product's UI.

For what it's worth, when I first made an artboard be taller, this help panel appeared. If I hadn't seen it, I too would have been confused. I guess the main problem case will be people continuing to work on something where they had already set the artboard heights.

Hey guys! can anyone tell me why is a component (footer as a whole component) disappears when making it "fix position when scrolling" and running the preview? no footer at all...

I don't think there should be a reason for that, and it seems to work ok for me. Make sure the footer is at the bottom of the visible area, and not at the bottom of the page content.

(XD 24.4.22) If you copy a Desktop artboard content (all layers from an artboard) into a Mobile artboard (or any other artboard) the system will automatically group all the layers into one folder, It's easy to miss! ungroup all layers/folders from this automated group folder, then select a component and "Fix position when scrolling" will be visible again.

I am also merging this post with the similar post.
