Hi everyone, I have a rendering problem with After Effects regarding the GPU, does anyone know how to disable the processor's integrated GPU and use the dedicated GPU, I also tried to disable the integrated CPU from the BIOS but nothing continues to use that and I also tried to change settings on AE

Hi,

I did a search of internal documentation that may be of assistance.

Disable Integrated Graphics in BIOS:

  • Access your BIOS settings during system startup.
  • Look for settings related to integrated graphics and disable them. This might be under "Advanced" or "Chipset" settings.
  • Save and exit the BIOS.

Adjust Graphics Settings in Windows:

  • Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings".
  • Scroll down and click on "Graphics settings".
  • Browse and add After Effects to the list of applications.
  • Select After Effects and click on "Options".
  • Choose "High performance" to ensure it uses the dedicated GPU.

Update and Configure NVIDIA Control Panel:

  • Open the NVIDIA Control Panel.
  • Go to "Manage 3D settings".
  • Under the "Program Settings" tab, add After Effects.
  • Set the preferred graphics processor to "High-performance NVIDIA processor".

Check After Effects Settings:

  • Open After Effects and go to "File" > "Project Settings".
  • Under the "Video Rendering and Effects" tab, select "Mercury GPU Acceleration (CUDA)" if you have an NVIDIA GPU.

Let me know if anything here works for you.

Thanks,
Kevin
