After Effects Freezes when changing programs

I am working with both After Effects and Premiere, going back and forth between the two programs. I am using the most up to date CC version of both. After the most recent After Effects update, every time I leave After Effects to do something in Premiere and then come back to After Effects (even if only for a couple of seconds), After Effects freezes and takes between 30 seconds to 1 1/2 minutes to become responsive. This is also happening to other members of my team when using After Effects with any other Adobe software. Any solutions to this problem would be great.

Hi cham8380,

Are you and other users having this issue with a particular project or all the projects? Can you share the properties of the media (frame rate, frame size, format/codec)?

Navigate to Edit > Preferences > Memory > Details and share a screenshot while Premiere Pro is also running.
