There used to be a "HDTV (Rec. 709)" and "HDTV (Rec. 709) 16-235" under working color space. I find HDTV (Rec. 709) is the perfect color space for roundtriping with FCPX and also to avoid colour shift when playing back in Mac, so I have used it extensively.
Since a few versions ago, suddenly "HDTV (Rec. 709)" went missing. Only "HDTV (Rec. 709) 16-235" is left available, which unfortunately does not provide the same result.
Old project that is saved with "HDTV (Rec. 709)" working color space, when opening the color setting, will give error:
"After Effects warning: Profile "HDTV (Rec. 709)" is missing, invalid or has incorrect file permissions. ( 83 :: 0 )" (see screenshot)
Unfortunately, rolling back to previous version of AE does not bring back the profile. It seems once you updated it, it is lost forever.

Still the same in the latest 24.6.0 updated. Developers, please fix this!

I have found out that since an update (possibly somewhere in June 2024), at /Library/Application/Adobe/Color/Profiles, the color profile "VideoHD.icc" was updated. Previously VideoHD.icc is "HDTV(Rec 709)", and there is also "HD_Display.icc" which is "Reg 709 Gamma 2.4".
However after the update this June, VideoHD.icc was replace by the duplicate of HD_Display.icc, which is in fact the "Rec.709 gamma 2.4" profile. I believe this is a bug.
For a temporary solution, I am able to download the original VideoHD.icc from before the update.
