I mean.

Can I from an expression on a Null object set what the source text of a text layer should write when its burried in a Pre/subComp four levels down?

Usually this is done the other way around were I go to the specific text layer and ask the null object on the top level what it reads, but for my case comunicating the from top to bottom is imporatant.

No, an expression can only affect the property to which it's applied.
