Hi, I'm interested in using After Effects in the future but I know that I definitely need to buy a new computer. I was checking out an Asus with an Intel I5 precessor and 8 GB of RAM (that I intend to increase). But, this computer doesnt come with a GPU. I want to know if the absence of a GPU in the computer is going to prevent After Effects from working .
Thanks!
Every pc and mac HAS TO HAVE A GPU. Whether its onboard or PCIe based. If a machine does not have a GPU how can it display anything to your monitor?
Please explain as your question is a little vague

Thanks MO, I didn't know that. I guess the label on the computer at the store was wrong (It says GPU: NO)

Not true. We lived with pcs and monitors without gpu or vram for decades. They do all the graphic maths on CPU. Thing is, every i5 has a gpu on itself, but a minimal one, not compared with an entry level graphic card gpu (manufaturer is talking about this last one).
