Animate Compiler Errors

New Here ,
Feb 28, 2018 Feb 28, 2018

Hi All

I have replaced the main audio in an old file, and have had to change to Action Script 3.  The user can click on a button to play, stop or replay an additional piece of audio.  When exporting as a movie file I am getting these errors.   I am new to Animate and have no idea what I should be changing it to.   Help 🙂

Detail on the errors is as follows

What do I need to do to get this working again, please?

With many thanks Fran

That's ActionScript 2 code. When you opened your FLA in Animate CC you would have gotten a very large popup stating that ActionScript 2 code is no longer supported. I'm assuming you ignored this warning.

Your options are:

A) Rewrite all your AS2 code in AS3.

B) Download Flash CS6, the last version of Flash to support AS2, and update your FLA with that.

Thanks ClayUUID for the speedy response, it is much appreciated.

I did accept the popup message and the script is set to AS3

but the code has remained the same.

How do I rewrite the code into AS3 please?

Cheers  Fran
