After updating the CC app for Windows, Photoshop and Lightroom CC are not listed as installed any more. Only Acrobat Reader, Fresco and UXP Developer Tools are. Please fix that.
It seems as if the option to show older apps was unchecked after the update. And for some reason my install language was switched to German although it was set to English before. Now I have to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop as it's in German now. Why are you making thing so unconveniant for users without any reason at all? At least ask if the settings for the CC app should be preserved before the update.
And after updating from 24.5 to 24.6 all my settings are gone now. Congrats, Adobe. You really know how to mess things up. How about using your AI-mania to give you suggestions on how to develop user-friendly software?
In the meantime I've restored all my settings. Luckily I still had the Photoshop settings folder from Photoshop CC 2022 and just copied that one over.
But the issue is simple. I opened the CC app yesterday and was told to update it, which I did. After that some preferences of the app were gone. Only Adobe Reader, Fresco and UXP Developer Tools were listed as installed, although I have Photoshop CC 2023 (24.5) and Lightroom classic (up to date) installed as well. Those were listed as having to be "Installed" and not "Updated". This might be because the "Show older programs" checkbox was unchecked (but it must have been checked before the update). But as I used pretty up to date versions of those programs, they should not be considered "older versions" anyway. Also my language was suddenly set to "German" although I had set it to "English" before the CC app updated itself. I'm on a German OS but always use my programs in English which I explicitely had set before.
