Invalid Serial Number PS CS4

I had a problem with my PS cs4 not opening files.  So I uninstalled it and have tried to reinstall it but it would not.  It claims my serial number is invalid.

When I contacted customer service they assured me serial number is valid.  So what do I do.

By the way serial number is registered in my account with adobe.

The seial number you enterd is not valid.  Click OK to retry entering the serial number.

Did your run the Adobe Cleaner Tool to wipe old Adobe products from your system before you re-installed?

NOTE - The CS2-CS3-CS4 activation servers have been removed from service

-So even if you have a disc or saved download, CS2-CS3-CS4 are completely dead
-Adobe also no longer supplies the special non-activation version of CS2-CS3-CS4

Although the CS4 activation servers are officially dead, CS4 can still be activated for use on a fresh install on a computer where CS4 has never previously been installed. I successfully activated CS4 myself a couple of months ago just as a proof of concept
