Hidden Reload Extensions Command Crashes DW CC 2017 -- anyone else?

MacOS 10.12.1 Sierra

DW CC 2017, as earlier versions, supports reloading extensions with a hidden command:

   1. Make certain at least one file is open for editing

   2. Make the Insert palette visible by going to Window --> Insert

   3. Hold down Option key

   4. Pull down on select menu at top left, default shown as "HTML"

   5. Find and select new bottom item, "Reload Extensions"

For me, doing this reliably causes DW to crash. (Either immediately, when I attempt to continue working, or multiple 10's of seconds later, if I do nothing after step #5 above.)

Maybe I have a messed-up extension? (I copied my custom extensions from CC 2015, where they were all functioning correctly for the lifetime of that version.)  Any corruption or fatal error should be found at launch time,  right?   But I have launched CC 2017 dozens of times.  It starts up smoothly, without any apparent problem, and  I have seen that at least some of my extensions are successfully loaded from

     ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2017/en_US/Configuration/Commands

at launch.   Anyway, for test purposes, I emptied this directory, so there are no custom extensions to load at all, and the crashes occur just the same.

Anyone else?

TIA

I can confirm, under Windows 7 with CC 2017, the option you describe crashes the program on every attempt.

I have not loaded any 3rd party extensions yet.  My EM from Project Seven does not recognize CC 2017.  They are working on an update for that.

According to PVII, their commercial extensions are compatible with CC 2017.  I believe DMX Zone is the same.  I don't know about all the others.

Sorry, I did not make myself clear:  I'm referring to  "1st party extensions" -- small  JS programs I write myself to support my workflow.      During the development process --or in this particular case-- when proving an old extension in a new DW release, it is essential to have the "hidden" Reload Extensions command working.

I have no knowledge of 3rd party extensions.  Does the same "hidden" Reload Extensions command apply to them?   Do they live in the same folder,

            ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2017/en_US/Configuration/Commands

    ?

Wha????  "1st party extensions"????   If you know a better term that distinguishes what I'm doing from products of Project Seven, DMX Zone, and perhaps others...  please, share it with me.     This is a long-term puzzlement, not just an academic issue -- it's hard to post questions without knowing a generally-accepted term.

    Thanks!
