Syncing data between Creative Cloud Libraries and MS Sharepoint

New Here ,
Feb 25, 2023 Feb 25, 2023

Hi,

My company is using Adobe products to generate graphics and videos etc. We have a libary of assets set up on Creative Cloud. However, some members of the team do not use adobe and need to use the assets for other places other than Adobe (eg uploading them to our website).
I was hoping to find a way that we could sync our content....so anything added to Creative Cloud is automatically added to our team's Sharepoint/Onedrive folder for the times outside of Adobe that it is needed. At the moment we have to manually keep both places up to date and it is very easy for the two to become out of sync.
Any ideas?

Hi @28592019r7zg There is no way to automate syncing between the two systems. We've gone through this exercise to the extent of engaging Microsoft services with no solution.

Instead, you can share a public link from your Creative Cloud library.

If you are shared a public link, anyone with the link can view the assets from a browser, even if they don't have a Creative Cloud subscription. These collaborators can comment or download copies.

Yes it is an enterprise account.  We looked at Microsoft PowerAutomate but this is not supported for enterprise accounts with adobe so wasn't possible.

Hi, since Adobe has deprecated the Creative Cloud API, I am trying to take the power MS Automate Route as well, to programmatically sync icons and other asset libraries from Sharepoint.
I have also hit the same wall of authentication issues, and I was wondering if you got directr confirmation from Adobe that they will NOT add support for Enterprise IDs...
Thanks!

@28592019r7zg As per my knowledge, the default location for saving the files is in Adobe cloud, and no option to link it with any other cloud providers for CC apps. The users can save the files locally and select their Onedrive or any other location to sync them.

We can wait for others' responses to check if there is any other workaround.

We have one known place, where assets are stored: the Synch folder for creative cloud files. This one does, however, not provide access to Creative Cloud Library files.

Those files are cached locally and could be transferred to any different location, either manually or automatically by a background process.

Other data can only be accessed online:

This is, at least, confusing to the users.

I would suggest a classical approach to the OPs problem: as you suggested, storing data, that needs to be shared, locally, either on a network share, or via OneDrive. A third possibility may be on the Adobe cloud (with the users having no access to Adobe products using a free account with 2 GB of cloud space). I suppose it is possible to invite non-Creative Cloud user to the Team, without attributing a product…

@Abambo we tested the automatic syncing of a CC folder to Onedrive with Microsoft support and there were issues accessing the files with temp files being produced, sync interruptions, etc. from the end user perspective. The only solution that worked with Microsoft was the manual transfer from CC to Onedrive/Sharepoint.

In the end, we ended up going with the public link Library route instead. Easier to manage on the creator's side with automatic syncing, no need for an end user CC acount and you can always remove access later.

Maybe with using a Dropbox link in-between…? No, I'm kidding!
