Cannot view wix flash based websites

New Here ,
Jul 04, 2010 Jul 04, 2010

I created a few websites about a year ago using Wix.com. Things have been great until 2 days ago when all the wix based websites(flash based) went blank on the computers in my house. It seems to work for a little while, then it goes blank again. I went on the wix forums, and it seemed only one other person had the same problem. I contacted wix support, and they said my websites and everyone elses looked fine on their end, and that the problem was on my end and there was nothing they could do. I haven't made any changes to my computer within the last two days, so i don't know what the problem could be. Just to give you an idea of what i see, i have attached the screenshot of what comes up when i go to my website http://www.royalkingdomministries.net

I have jobs lined up to create more websites for people, and this is making me somewhat nervous.

I am not super computer savvy, so if anyone can help, please tell me what's wrong at a novice's level.

If it helps: I have a Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook, AMD Sempron(tm) SI-42 2.10 GHz Processor, and a 32 bit Operating System.

I went to the website you linked, and I can see Flash content fine (e.g. on the main page, after clicking Enter).

What is your Windows version?

What is your Flash Player version?

What is your web browser?

Can you see Flash content on other websites?

Have you tried to

  • disable hardware acceleration (Flash Player Settings)?
  • update the device drivers for your graphics/video/display adapter?

I have Windows 6.0

I have the latest Flash 10.1 installed

I use IE

I can see flash content on other websites. It only happens when i try to view any website made with wix.

How would i go about disabling hardware acceleration? or updating the device drivers for my graphics/video/display adapter?

I will try anything.

Windows 6.0 - that would be Vista?

To disable hardware acceleration, right-click on any Flash object (e.g. at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/), then select Settings...  Hardware acceleration can be disabled on the Display panel.

Try this first.  If it still does not work, update the device drivers. You can download the latest driver from either your computer manufacturer's site, or your display adapter's manufacturer's site.

You can also use an automated tool http://drivermax.com/ - use the free version that allows up to two driver downloads per day.

I strongly recommend that you make a backup of your system, or a System Restore Point before updating the device drivers.  If you are unsure how to proceed, better ask for more details before you go ahead.

Thanks. I tried what you recommended and it still goes blank. I'm not convinced that it's my computer that's the problem because I went back to the wix forums and noticed that more people are complaining of the same thing.

But thank you for your help.
