Drawing Aids Cannot be Resized

I give it a solid 98% of the time, when I activate a drawing aid, there is no chance I can resize it or rotate it. The handles never come up to have that option. Sometimes, if I go in and just fiddle with different app settings for a while, the handles will pop up, but even then it is usually after closing and restarting the program 4+ times. 

Anyone know how to make these aids work properly every time. It is downright infuriating.

i'm facing same issue with drawing aid not able to re-size. The stencil edit button shows but doesn't do anything on clicking. Button shows as if it is on edit mode but the editor points on the stencil/drawing aid don't show up for re-sizing.

Hello everyone, here is my problem in Fresco: the edit button of the circle tool doesn’t work anymore. It is impossible for me to adjust the size and shape of the circle. I uninstalled and reinstalled Fresco, without success. In advance, thank you for your help.

I'm having the same problem, no drag handles - it's very frustrating.

Tap the tool icon at the bottom of the stencil to toggle between drawing mode and stencil edit mode (size and position).

Thank you Michael, but I use this tool regularly. But the icon no longer reacts when clicked on, whether with the stylus or with the mouse. But I thank you for your response, have a good day.

That's the issue, it no longer works- for the rectangle as well. Also frustrating is the old problem of the snapping when trying to rotate a very small amount with the ruler.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I tried to replicate this on my end on both iPad and Windows but could not. Would you mind sharing more details, like the exact version of the OS/Fresco installed, your device make/model, whether this happens with all files, and a small screen recording of your workflow and the problem, so I can check this with the team?

Fresco version is 5.7.0.
My equipment:

As you can see, my equipment is not on top, but everything was working perfectly. And only this tool no longer works.I can trace, but no longer set the size correctly, and the small stencil editing button no longer reacts to the stylus or mouse.

Hi @PapiPhilou I watched your video, and I thought maybe it might have something to do with the fact you are using a vector brush while I'm using pixel brushes for testing. But, I tried to duplicate this and still I'm unable to duplicate this on either iPad or Windows. For me, it works on both.

However, @Anubhav M  I did notice a difference between iPad and Windows. When you toggle to stencil mode in iPad, the handles disappear and it's clear you are in stencil drawing mode. However, in Windows, the sizing handles remain visible in both stencil and sizing modes.

I'm also having the same issue.  But have found a way to make it work. The bug is really random.

When I turn on drawing aids whatever mode it is in, it is 'stuck' in that mode - with handles or stencil mode. But if I try the following a few times I can eventually get the mode I need:

1. turn on drawing aid - can't change mode

2. change brush (vector to pixel or eraser for example)

3. turn drawing aid off and on again....sometimes you'll get handles back sometime not so repeat 1-3 until it works

4. But then you can't change handle mode to stencil. So need to repeat the process until i get it how you need.

Hi @nice_loyalty2759 ,

After watching your video and trying again on my Windows machine, I have been able to duplicate this erratic behavior, after clicking in and out of the stencil tools several times. Sometimes it works as expected, sometimes the UI is incorrect but the stencil works, and sometimes it just plain does not work.

As a workaround I found that changing from the circle stencil to the square stencil and back returned the functionality.

@Anubhav M please take note of the video above and let me know if you have any additional request for information.

Hi Michael, in fact, for almost a year since I started using Fresco, I have been simultaneously using vector layers and pixel layers. Basically, I sketch with pixel brushes, and ink with vector brushes. And until now, switching from one type of layer to another did not hinder the operation of the circle tool. The handles were always visible and usable. But I thank you for your help.

I'm having the exact same problem - it used to work perfectly, now I can't grab the drag handles with the mouse or my stylus.
