After updating LR today from the Cloud app on my PC it now fails with an error every time I open it. I have tried updating graphic card drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled LR itself but the problem persists. Was working fine yesterday. It is now unusable as the error occurs on starting up the software. Have sent crash reports via the error popup. Urgent help requested!

You might find the thread below useful. It's a known bug - the workaround is to install the previous version (11.2) via Creative Cloud Desktop

@Herbert24127206ju8u, Adobe recommends rolling back to 11.2 until they fix the issue:

Hi,

After installing 11.3, Lightroom Classic is now crashing on startup. In all my years of using Lightroom, I've never had this problem before. Going back down to version 11.2 is a good workaround for the time being. Just thought I'd post this to raise awareness to Adobe.

Eu desinstalei a atualização mais recente, e instalei a antiga. Agora está

Yes, I updated to Lightroom Classic Version 11.3.1 via Creative Cloud desktop app on to my Windows 10 PC. The first time I opened LRC 11.3.1 it looked fine and there was no lock-up.  The second time I opened 11.3.1 a message popped up saying it needed to upgrade my catalogue and warned that the new catalogue would not be compatible with earlier versions of LR.  The catalogue updated quite quickly (some 30,000 images), when LR actually started, the new catalogue was pointing to a "Pictures" folder on a drive that doesen't have the pictures folder, and was showing missing folders that had been removed sometime ago (I think perhaps I may have chosen the wrong catalogue to update).  I pointed the LRC library to the correct drive holding my "Pictures" folder, then had the catalogue go through a full synchronisation that took a while, and now all is OK - the catalogue is synched and update and Lightroom Classic opens without crashing.

If we rolled back our LR version should we update to the last update then do the newest or just do the newest?

I updated from 11.2 to 11.3.1 and the original bug from 11.3 seems to be solved.

A quick check on Windows and Mac works fine.

I did not need to update my catalogue or similar, just start and it seems OK again.

Thank you!

Also - I upgraded from 11.2 to 11.3.1, and the problem indeed seems to be resolved (with no catalog rebuild required).

Thank you!

Today (21.04.22) I updated to 11.3.1 on my Windows 11. I can confirm that the to reported bugs are solved.
Exactly the same catalog file, which LrC 11.3 immidetately closed on startup, without any message, now opens perfectly in 11.3.1. The response is amazing. The other bug, showing incorrect cropped file size, is also solved. I will test more later.

No. If you don't see 11.3.1, you may need to refresh the Creative Cloud app -- see the link GoldingD just posted for details:

Confirmed, update of LR to 11.3.1 worked perfectly. I've had LR open on the problem catalogue for hours and it's still running fine.

It also offered update of PS to 23.3.1

The update to LrC 11.3.1 has not solved the bug with respect to displaying the crop pixels accurately.
