So I have some adjustments I've already done, like clarity, vibrance etc that have to be the same across all the photos. and I want lightroom to Auto adjust exposure/highlights shadows etc....So I copy the adjustments that needed to be the same, select all photos and hit auto adjust... it will now adjust all the parameters. ok. Now I select all and hit paste to paste only the adjustments I need. It applies that to all the photos. Now I go to the next photo. all the adjustments that were previously adjusted are now back to zero... Why is this and how to fix it. Older versions of LR didn't gave me this problem. im on MacOs ventura. Sorry if what I am saying is not clear a video is attached. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank You

LR has long had problems apply Auto to large batches of photos -- it can't seem to get it right.

I have a set of 1,200 photos, and I've applied auto settings, but then when I want to copy and paste ONLY shadow and darks from one photo to all 1,200, it only applies to about 10, and the rest's basic settings have reset with only the values of shadows and darks being correct, therefore the auto settings having been undone.

I'm culling and editing high school sports portraits.
If I select all, right-click and choose Develop Settings > Auto Settings it applies auto settings to all of the images as expected.
When I select one image and reset the Whites, Blacks, Vibrance and Saturation back to 0, then select the rest of the images and Sync only those settings (Whites, Blacks, Vibrance and Saturation) MOST of the images will retain the Exposure, Contrast, Highlights and Shadows attributed to them when applying the Auto Settings in the beginning, while Syncing the Whites, Blacks, Vibrance and Saturation to the 0 that was applied.
However, some of the images (I'd guess about 5%) will reset all of the Basic adjustments back to 0.
I've even tried Synchronizing the folder between each step and making sure that all Metadata is synced.
This issue seems to have started with the latest update from a couple of days ago.
Adobe has long struggled to implement correctly batch operations involving Auto Settings. See the end of that post for a workaround (that worked in 2022 -- I haven't test it since then).
