The Metadata panel has some glitches in LR 10 / Mac OS 10.15.5 with the new fonts:

p1-9be6f5fc-9cc7-47f5-9e00-5ba8425c2522-1041768324.pngp1-9be6f5fc-9cc7-47f5-9e00-5ba8425c2522-1041768324.png
p2-048c092d-5508-423a-a937-cb8f1fe09e49-1040844803.pngp2-048c092d-5508-423a-a937-cb8f1fe09e49-1040844803.png

And some fields don't display their last line (off by one error?):

Untitled1-cb50f00d-968f-4f81-bb6f-9cd0e2cc508c-1210388217.pngUntitled1-cb50f00d-968f-4f81-bb6f-9cd0e2cc508c-1210388217.png
ScreenShot20201031at9.05.44AM-a0eb57db-8b9b-4920-968b-51076cdfa9c5-193170665.pngScreenShot20201031at9.05.44AM-a0eb57db-8b9b-4920-968b-51076cdfa9c5-193170665.png
To reproduce this, try changing the width of the panel.

About the fonts in LR 10, the Lightroom Queen wrote: "[T]he font has been updated throughout the app, to use Adobe’s newly standards. While many formatting issues have already been identified and fixed, you might still find a few odd gremlins or spacing issues."

Here's another example, with a custom metadata tagset:

p3-ccd1e7da-5abd-4865-804a-a58897dac3d6-1039921282.pngp3-ccd1e7da-5abd-4865-804a-a58897dac3d6-1039921282.png
p4-3ebcd8ed-a9c8-4346-92ac-c68ae4bc86f5-1038997761.pngp4-3ebcd8ed-a9c8-4346-92ac-c68ae4bc86f5-1038997761.png
Here's the definition of that tagset:
return {title = "Any Vision",id = 'anyvision',items = {
     {"com.johnrellis.anyvision.labels", height_in_lines = -1},{"com.johnrellis.anyvision.landmarks", height_in_lines = -1},{"com.johnrellis.anyvision.locations", height_in_lines = -1},{"com.johnrellis.anyvision.map"},{"com.johnrellis.anyvision.logos", height_in_lines = -1},{"com.johnrellis.anyvision.faces", height_in_lines = -1},{"com.johnrellis.anyvision.text", height_in_lines = -1},{"com.johnrellis.anyvision.safeSearch", height_in_lines = -1},"com.johnrellis.anyvision.dominantColor","com.adobe.separator",{"com.adobe.caption", height_in_lines = -1},"com.adobe.GPS"}}

In the Library module, all editable metadata fields with more than one line of text display truncated text unless I select the field. I've attached two screen grabs, one shows the unselected state and the other the selected state. When unselected, the bottom line of text is missing.

Thanks for the reply, Ruby. It’s a consistent error. It occurs in all editable fields except for the keyword field.

This also happens with my LR 7.4 / Macos 10.13.5 / Macbook Pro Retina 15-in mid-2015:

Is it still reproducible with Lightroom Classic 7.5?

I'm still seeing it, sad to say. Same LR 7.5 and Macos 10.13.6 as John.

And I now see the bug with your sample text, "Looking up columns under artificial light toward vaulted archways".  With other multi-line text, sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Note that the first four screenshots are from built-in tagsets of the Metadata panel and don't involve the SDK.

I was able to provoke a glitch on LR 10 / Windows by starting with "Robert in backyard, Nara (with his stuffed" and then adding one non-space at a time and slowly sliding the panel width back and forth:

I am able to reproduce this consistently.  For me, what occurs is that after initially entering a multi-line Title and hitting Return, LrC correctly displays the entire Title.  However, if one deselects that image and later returns to that image, LrC fails to display the last line (e.g., if the Title as entered required 3 lines to display fully, after reselecting the image only 2 of the 3 lines will display.

See this video below for examples

The video was made with all 3rd party plugins disabled and with a new, virgin catalog.

I also tried changing the font size in Preferences->Interface from Small to Large and back again (restarting LR each time) and the problem persisted no matter which font size was selected.

I've dug a bit more into this, and the issue is not restricted to the Title field.  I certainly can't say I've tried ALL fields, but any text field I've tried shows this issue.  For example, the Caption field is built in to show 5 lines, but if one enters a Caption that spans more than 5 lines, the last line will not display.  I've  also tried a number of other fields, with the same result.

Try out 10.1, released yesterday, and see if the fields look better.

Thanks so much for this!  10.1 hasn't hit my Creative Cloud yet, but as soon as it does, I'll give it a go!  Much appreciated!

Unfortunately, I still see the glitch between Title and Caption when I first enter the values into the fields (using auto completion):

Untitled-358e5b7e-24d6-4292-965d-605882e5911a-515118528.png
And I still see the truncation of the fields as I adjust the width of the right column:

@Rikk

Alas, my experience is the same as @John_R_Ellis  😞

Both the Title and Caption fields continue to truncate.

Screenshot of Title and Caption fields.  Context suggests both fields are truncated.

Currently in the latest version of Lightroom Classic (and all earlier versions) the fields for seeing and editing the File Name and Title are hard fixed at one line of around 30 characters. This is crazy with modern operating systems that allow for loooonnnggg file names, and for people who use long Titles. Can Adobe please allow for the entry fields to be bigger or auto adjustable in size. By comparison, the fixed Keyword Tags displayed content is massive, and the Caption field auto resizes to suit content - which is precisely what File Name and Title should do as well.  Thank you.  If no Adobe person will ever see this, where do I submit corrections for bad interface design?

Not everyone has fond memories of ye olde 8.3    XXXXXXXX.XXX   fixed file name sizes...

Yes W10 😉 generally the length of a filed is linked with the Database and not the OS. Can it be only a display problem. If you type more than 30 and export it. Do you see the full tittle in the exifs of the image
