Epson 3880 print profiles missing after driver reinstall

Windows 11 Pro, Lightroom 12.3 (I can't check 'cause it's locked up)

I have been using a 3880 for a very long time.  It's been fine.

After the "upgrade" to Windows 11, I only had ONE ICC profile - fortunately it was the one I generally use - the Premium Lustre one.

BUT, because of some fiddling with the printer, I reinstalled the 3880 drivers.  ALL the ICC profiles are now visible in Photoshop - note ALL the profiles are now AVAILABLE in Photoshop.  And the printer works FINE from Photoshop.

I Lightroom, I have two choices "Printer does management" (again, wording is probably off 'cause LR is totally locked up) and "Other".  When I select Other, Lightroom hangs.  I'll have to go into the Task Manager and crash it again 'cause I haven't found ANY way to bring it back.

 

HOW do I get the icc profiles to show up in Lightroom?

Go to the Epson site, download the 3880 installer, and reinstall it. That will also install all of Epson's supplied profiles for that printer. Then in Lightroom Classic, you need to set the print area to Application (LR) Manages Color (NOT Managed by Printer) and click on the Profile dropdown, and select "Other..." to select them into the dropdown. 

 

Now the part about LR hanging:

Quit Lightroom Classic.
macOS: Press and hold the Shift + Option keys.
Windows: Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom Classic.
When asked, select "Yes".

I may not have been clear...  I LOST all the icc profiles for Lightroom WHEN I installed the drivers AGAIN.  I can KEEP installing 6.6.2, which is the last one, but Lightroom, so far, after THREE installs (one from the copy I had, and 2 from the new copy I downloaded), STILL doesn't see any profiles.

 

And as for Lightroom locking up, it ONLY happens when I select "Other", which I'll never have to do if somebody here can tell me how to FORCE LIGHTROOM TO SEE THE PROFILES.  Am I correct that the "hold keys" and launch Lightroom operation is going to blow away all the settings and customizations and dump me all the way back to the "factory"?  Unless this is guaranteed to make the profiles visible, I'd rather avoid having togo through the mess of reconfiguring everything.

Another photoclub year starting, and I need to make prints again…

And I STILL have no profiles in Lightroom, OTHER THAN the Epson Stylus Pro 3880_3885_3890 PremiumLustrePhotoPaper one.

I went rummaging for anything on Lightroom not having printer profiles and found an old discussion somewhere that claimed Lightroom was too dumb to figure out when profiles were added - which seems unlikely - but their solution was to copy everything from the drivers folder under Spool to the Lightroom Color Profiles folder.  That is working at the moment...

Which is good 'cause I'm already tired of having to send everything to Photoshop to print!
