Since the latest update using jpegxl for compressed DNG files, the use of cloud services like google drive for backup storage is negatively impacted, since preview images won't show. It's a shame, because the smaller file sizes offered by the new compression actually make the rest of the workflow much nicer. Not to mention that finder/explorer also cannot preview the files currently.
An option in the DNG conversion settings to maintain standard jpeg as the format for embedded previews would allow users to take advantage of the benefits associated with jpegxl for storage and features, while not breaking the file preview experience in almost every other app.
