    Interesting-

    JPG filenames from my Nikon D750:

    DSC_1234.JPG =  sRGB

    _DSC1234.JPG = adobeRGB

    Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

    How do I open an image and check the color space set by the camera?

    In Lightroom, there is no way of telling what the embedded profile (color space) is.

    Raw files do not have a color space, (they are greyscale files), and you choose the color space in the Export dialog when you export the image.

    To find out the color space of a jpg, you can open it in Bridge, and look in the metadata panel.

    Or open it in Photoshop, and click the arrow in the status bar, bottom left, and choose Document profile.
