Uninstall the Lightroom App.
Restart your computer
Install the Lightroom App

After this check Help>System Info... again to see if you are now on 3.1.

I uninstalled the program, installed a creative cloud and there is no application and such a message:

you do not have access to application management, you may need to request permission from your it administrator

It sounds like you have a corporate license. You will need to contact your corporate administrator to reinstall.

Is your user account on your computer an Adminstrator account? It sounds like you don't have Admin rights.

As Rikk suggests, it sounds like your Windows account doesn't have the right permissions. It might be easiest to contact customer services by phone/chat so they can log into your computer and help you fix it.

Have you reviewed your system read/write permissions as described above?  This is a typical cause of receiving this message.

I am still having this issue as well.

MacOS 10.15.6

Lightroom 3.4

I keep hoping updates and re-installs will fix it, but it doesn't. It has been 4 months for me.

Hey Rikk... I am a photographer and trying to get photos to clients but when importing from SD card I'm getting the checking for free space on disk error message... I have a brand new MacBook and should have plenty of space.  What do I need to do?
