Lightroom February 2022 update

 

Welcome to the February edition of the Lightroom Newsletter. We hope you had a great month and kept warm or cool? The weather was a little wonky worldwide last month, hu? This month the Lightroom Ecosystem had a release that included new features and support for new cameras and lenses. We also invited the community to join us in our first ever Remix It! challenge by remixing this image. February Remix It!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first-ever Lightroom Community Remix It! challenge. Our theme this month was Think SpringWe asked everyone to Remix this image by making their own edits in Lightroom using the Remix feature. 

 

Congratulations, Joseph, on being our first Remix It! challenge winner! Your use of contrast with this black & white image and the change in perspective captivated us. Great job!

 

February Release

This month the Lightroom Ecosystem released Lightroom (version 5.2) and Mobile (version 7.2.) This release provides support for new cameras and lenses.

 

Lightroom (Desktop)

      New Features

  • Intersect Mask allows you allows you to intersect two masks with different adjustments. 
  • You can now directly export a photo with edits from a preferred version in the version panel
  • Specify maximum pixel dimensions for the short edge of the photos using the Custom Export option.

 

      Fixed issues

 

Lightroom for Mobile (iOS)

     New Features

  • Try Recommended Presets with enhanced search and menu options.
  • Now you can long-press the panels in the toolbar to see the before and after versions of a photo after applying specific edits.

 

Lightroom for Mobile (Android)

     New Features

  • When you upload a photo to the cloud, you can now view the estimated time left to complete uploading.
  • Experience quicker load time and better performance while interacting with Library.
  • Use keyboard shortcut keys for quick navigation. For more, see Keyboard Shortcuts
