P: Get rid of Lightroom Desktop

I would suggest that Lightroom CC either becomes lighter and more clearly focussed to mobile devices or to get rid of it altogether.

Every time I forget which one I can use for a contact sheet, and every time I end up duplicating my effort.

More apps ≠ more better.

It rather depends on what app you mean by "Lightroom CC", as there has not been any app with that name for several years, and it has previously been used by the original "Lightroom" which stores images on local drives (and is now called Lightroom Classic), and was also initially allocated to the new version of Lightroom which stores images in the cloud.

I'm guessing that you are referring to Lightroom Classic, as that does have a contact sheet option, in which case why not use the cloud-centric Lightroom desktop app instead, as that really is at heart a port of the Lightroom Mobile app into a desktop app? And it's also included in your current subscription plan!

Disagree. I fully switched to the Cloud ecosystem. I predominately use Lightroom Desktop (LrD) on multiple computers. this is a great solution. I further occasionally use Lightroom Mobile (LrM), more often to find images and share with friends/family than an actual editing tool.

The only product in the ecosystem I only use in specific situations is Lightroom Web (LrW); and this was early on in my switch when I occasionally had cloud sync issues. LrW was very good at finding what had issues, and helping me figure out what needed to be done. Since then, I really do not use it.

Last point, as @Jim Wilde stated, there is no "Contact sheet" in the cloud ecosystem. The only "contact sheet" is actually in Lightroom Classic (LrC); which is not really part of the Cloud ecosystem. LrC technically has a sync to the cloud, which can partially be used/integrated with the cloud ecosystem.
