Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut
With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.
I haven't been able to use the Beta version for two days now, and when I install some of the older versions, the Generative AI doesn't work (the program says the feature can only be used with the latest version of the app). Gosh, I was so happy with this tool!
2. Go to your public release version of Photoshop (not the beta) Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.
I have the same issue, but I am on Mac OS 12.6.2. Have had zero big issues until now. Beta opens fine, but if I try to open a .psd, jpg, tiff etc it crashes and gives me an error saying "adobe photoshop beta closed unexpectedly".
Thank for the response. Sadly resetting the prefs didnt work. I should have also mentioned that I have uninstalled & reinstalled both PS beta & lightroom.

Having same issue. Got to work this morning and anytime I openrd an image, PS beta crashes. Hope its fixed soon. Going back to released PS 24.7.0. I just wanted to put my hands up.
Hi, I'm having same issue. I had trouble updating to the Beta 25 on MAC. I ended up having to "clean" the apps. After cleaning all apps and reinstalling beta photoshop it says "The application “Adobe Photoshop (Beta)” can’t be opened."

Just downloaded the new update that Adobe released, but still getting the same error when trying to opening any file so did not fix the issue. Might have to do with the fact I am on Mac OS 12.6.2.
The update to fix the critical error issue has been posted and is ready for installation. If you don't see the update, select Help > Check for updates in the creative cloud application.
Eine mögliche Lösung für Mac Nutzer sind die Berechtigungen. Ihr müsst in den Systemeinstellungen unter Datenschutz & Sicherheit auf Datein & Ordner gehen. Dort müssen bei adobe Photoshop Beta alle Haken blau sein. Bei mir hat es geholfen 🙂
After a recent generation problem in version 25.0, I rolled back to the previous version and worked without image generation for now. Today 22.08 I decided to upgrade to version 25.0 and oh wonder, Photoshop loads and generation works.
