P: Docking icons for extension panels, plugins, and the Adobe Plugins panel missing on Windows 10

The title pretty much says it all.  Installed 22.4 on Windows 10 today, and all the docking icons for third-party extension panels, plugins, and even Adobe's own Plugins panel are missing.  Totally blank.  The plugins listed inside the Adobe's plugins panel have their corresponding icons, but the docking icons for when these items are in a panel dock are gone.  The docking icon for the Adobe Color Theme's panel is also missing.  There may be others.  I've not checked every Adobe panel.  An icon-less panel dock is not very useful.

Hi Rosa,

Yes, this is the correct place.  Adobe use to have a Bug report page, but it has been changed to this page.  I looked into it yesterday and I came back to this same page.

Hope that helps.

@Rikk My apologies for pinging you, but are you able to tell us if this bug is known to Adobe?

We would be grateful for any acknowledgements.

Biggest thank you.

I updated from Ps 2021 22.3 (no interim dot release, just 22.3) yesterday - May 17, 2021 - to rel. 22.4 on my Win 10 Pro PC. As soon as the update completed I'd lost almost all the icon symbols for my Ps Extensions. They were all visible and working fine in rel. 22.3. Now over 2/3 of them are gone. The ones that are missing are a mix of Adobe & 3rd party extensions - that all were visible minutes before while using rel. 22.3. I only updated in order to use the latest neural filters...

The 1st thing I did (after some not happy language!) was check my Preferences in Ps to see if the update had reset something relative to Extensions or Plugins. The settings are still as they had been in rel. 22.3. So there's a bug in the coding for Ps 2021 22.4 relative to how Extensions symbols are displayed.

Here's where I 1st reported the issue, not knowing of this thread:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/ps-2021-extension-icons-disappeared-with-my-rel-22-4-update...

Here's an annotated snip of my Ps 2021 rel. 22.4 workspace (how it looks now with the active bug of the extension icon symbols missing):

BTW, if it helps....  I just spent 1.5 hours on an online Adobe Chat to try to troubleshoot this issue. Here's the case info:  case ID :  ADB-19467850-L6P5

Thx Jeff. It seems to be a widespread issue. I hope the devs can push out a patch ASAP vs waiting for another several months. It's very ineffective to try to work with Ps this way...

@Rosa    You're not alone and not alone among Win 10 users... Also tried the steps you mentioned and others. With no luck.

I updated from Ps 2021 rel. 22.3 to 22.4 yesterday - May 17, 2021 - (Win 10 Pro PC) & if you summarize all the issues reported above, I'm having them all also. Including the fact that it is both Adobe and 3rd party Extensions that are now missing icon symbols. All I see are blank grey boxes.

I immediately did the troubleshooting to see if the update had wiped out some Preferences settings relating to Extensions/Plugins. But they were as they had been. No changes there.

This is where I'd previously reported this issue:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/ps-2021-extension-icons-disappeared-with-my-rel-22-4-update...

And, this is the case number from my over 1.5 hours online "Chat" with Adobe Tech Spt to try to troubleshoot this today - they were unaware it was a widely reported issue...  case ID :  ADB-19467850-L6P5
