I keep running into render issues in the new PS 2020. Here's the most recent example. I loaded a large pano into the first tab then opened a PSD file into the second tab. This second tab should show me a couch and kitchen as indicated by the view in the layers, yet it's showing me the pano from the first tab. This has happened to me dozens of times in past few days.
When I pull the tab out, it then renders the PSD correctly:
Another issue was when I went to restart the computer and had a dozen files open in PS that weren't saved. PS 2020 just closed it all out and skipped the "Do you want to save?" dialog. Just trashed the file progress.
Can you please update to 21.2 which was released today? We've made a change on the Photoshop side which should fix this issue. Let us know if you're still having trouble.
THIS UPDATE SUCKS. REPEATEDLY, PHOTOSHOP JUST FREEZES THE IMAGE TO WHATEVER IS ON SCREEN BUT DOESN'T ACTUALLY CHANGE THE WINDOW TO WHAT IT SAYS I'M WORKING ON. IT JUST GETS STUCK VISUALLY BUT ALL THE TOOL COMMANDS STILL FUNCTION, AND THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THIS IS TO RESTART. THIS IS AFTER UPDATING TO 20.0.2 AS WELL.
Thanks Jeffrey. Sorry, this is just infuriating when I'm working on multi-gig files and have to quit because the interface isn't responding. I've attached a screen recording of the issue, with an open image in it's own window, where it happens when I try and drop it into the UI. I realize the large file is saving as I recorded this, but this happens regardless if I'm saving in the background.

Sorry, just to confirm, reinstall photoshop without the secondary display attached? I've since restarted the program and am not currently facing the issue yet.
Sorry, what I mean was, quit Photoshop, disconnect the second monitor, launch Photoshop and see if you can reproduce with just the single integrated monitor.
Hello, I've had the issue again. I am still currently running High Sierra. I've captured the issue on my main desktop, and then I plugged into my secondary display to see if it changed the issue.
The only thing I can get to work is dragging the photo I'm trying to work on out of the standard UI and into it's own window, if that makes sense. If I drag it back into the window, the same problem persists. It doesn't help that I'm working on some huge multi-GB art files, which definitely slows the dragging in & out of the frame down.
I have not recently run into this issue in Photoshop, but I have run into the exact same problem in Illustrator. I'm not sure if this is environment wide with Adobe?? Video of the issue: https://vimeo.com/316804366
Hi, I'm surprised more people haven't had this same problem. Happens to me all the time, and has since the update. It MAY have happened before PS 2019, but I can't verify that for sure. I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me. I also work with fairly large graphic files, and have this happen a minimum of once a week. If it was more often, I probably would have been on here sooner. I have often searched the forums looking for people reporting a similar issue, and finally found this thread. I keep hoping with each update the problem will go away, but so far it seems it has not been acknowledged. Hopefully soon! A simple restart of Photoshop will always solve the problem for me though. No need yet to restart the whole system. I am on an iMac, High Sierra 10.13.6. 4GHz Intel i7, 32GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9. I'm no expert when it comes to computer hardware, so hopefully that info is helpful!

Hi, this bug has been happening frequently to me, but not all the time. Here's a video of the bug right now. As you can see, resizing the window slightly only fixes the program for that document tab and it fails to update as soon as you switch to another document. What's more, I just noticed not only does the document tab fail to update display, docked panel tabs are affected too. I wonder if this has something to do with docked panel tabs failing to expand on startup in Illustrator and Indesign.

Dang. No smoking gun there. I've not heard of another report of this with macOS 10.14 or later. I'll need to see if one of my colleagues has one of these macs with a AMD Radeon VII card.
Only other thing I can think of is to quit Photoshop and move the preferences folder out of:
