White squares appearing while using eraser or brush tool

While trying to use the eraser or brush tool it will show this white squares and hide everything behind them, as you move the tool the squares get bigger or more of them appear on screen. The squares would disappear if you hide the layer but will  appear again when using the tools.

I have similar issue. Happens in bigger psb projects with artboards. It happens even after just moving some objects. The area they occupy turns into solid white rectangle, untill i hide and unhide the layers. Frustrating and makes work almost impossible, when to see the change you have to toggle visibility of layers for photoshop to re-render the area...

ANd i have geforce drivers up to date.

Hi, I've been having this issue on and off for a while now, sometimes fixed by restarting Photoshop or sometimes not. I've enabled gpu use, and I have plenty of memory available for Photoshop's use. I've also turned on "disable native display" as suggested by some users here to fix somewhat similar issues. I haven't been able to find anyone with my exact problem though. This is rather inconvenient of course when I'm trying to draw (my primary use for this program) and I can't even see what I'm doing because it's all showing up as pixelated white blocks instead of the brush or eraser or whatever it is I'm trying to do. See video below for what I'm talking about- I've just updated to the latest version of Photoshop and am running the latest version of Windows 10 with a RTX 3070 GPU,  an AMD Ryzen 5 2600, and 32 GB of RAM.

@Brooke24095085l641 Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”. Then check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”. Quit and relaunch PS.

I have this same problem. It started a few months ago. My PS is updated and also my Nvidea Graphic Card.
Tryied everything listed on this post, but nothing helped

My scpecs are:
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics, 3801 Mhz, 8 Núcleo(s), 16 Processador(es) Lógico(s)
- 64 RAM

- GeForce RTX 3060

Same issue here, but with brush tool, painting etc. Preferences -> Performance -> (GPU) Advanced Settings ... -> GPU Compositing - I disabled the GPU and it seems to work. Do I leave that off or is there a fix down the road?

Some people are mentioning: graphic card drivers.Graphics Prosessor Settings upgrades? I don't know where that occurs?

Same is happening to me. Not a a large image 1600x2560 @ 72ppi.

I specifically built this system around 2x 2080Ti GPUs for use with the Adobe suite. Having to turn of GPU processing would be a major kick in the nuts.

That said, turning off the GPU processing / compositing seemingly solves it.

Been almost a year since Andrew Senders post. Any updates?
