After today's update the rulers and guides are not visible and will not turn on with the crtl R. Anyone else have this issue? How do I fix this?

Whew - thanks for that fix! Didn't realize how much I depend on it until it vaporized. All is right in my world again (for the time being).

But be honest... it is crazy how often things "go wrong" after an update. I seriously question if there's any control of existing functions still working after an update is ready for release.

Just press Ctrl+' to turn on mesh, press it again to hide it and there u go, rulers (Ctrl+r) work again.

Open Photoshop's preferences by clicking on Edit > Preferences > Go to Technology preview, you will find an option labeled as "Deactivate native canvas", check mark it, and then see there should be another option that is labeled as "Use older node of GPU 2016", check mark it and then restart the Photoshop

Thank you. That worked. Reporting bugs and navigating the Adobe website and forum is not very intuitive.

no question about adobe's website. and merging all the photoshop ruler issues to this bug thread compounds the confusion.

I agree about the confusion with merging, which explains why you responded to Kenny28863341kynm an hour ago when there was already a response to him on March 15 before his thread was merged into this one.

Nichts.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

Hi Marcelo,
Have you tried what has been said multiple times in this thread? Here it is again:

Yes, that "fix" works if you need rulers, which I do, but now I have to use a seven-year-old version of Photoshop without all of the updates since 2016.

Who mentioned using an older version of Photoshop? The 'Older GPU mode (pre 2016)' preference ensures compatibility with older GPUs and older drivers.

somebody did. but this thread is such a mess from threads being moved here, it's hard to find who wrote what to whom.

Thanks! These fixes seemed to work for me. After updating GPU driver, it still didn't work when I re-checked the Use Graphics Processor box in Preferences. So I found these instructions and they worked! Checked "Deactivate native canvas" and "Use older node of GPU 2016" and I can see my layers and images - not all black like it was since upgrade. Also rulers now work, too! I haven't tried the Warp feature yet to see if it still turns your image upside down, but maybe it will fix that, too.

Estou tendo problemas em fazer a régua aparecer no meu Photoshop. Eu tento tanto pelo atalho CTRL + R quanto pela barra Visualizar, e ela não aparece.
Também já tentei mexer nessa guia, e não consegui resolver o bug
Aguém poderia me ajudar?
Desde já agradeço!
