Dave is having a well earned rest this week, so for this weeks challenge we have a cone, what can you make with it.
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
* The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.
To download the image below at full size, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun

Exquisite, Ged; and very suitable for the riddle.

Good use of the cone Jane. Does it need the dog sitting in front of it.

Thanks, Ged and Dave,
The statue Nipper lived in a field just a few miles from my house for decades, but is now living atop the Maryland Historical Society’s building in Baltimore. The real Nipper was born in Bristol in 1884.
Failing to have a ladder tall enough to reach him in his new location, I found a substitute dog and hope that will do, Dave. 😊
My dad used to play these records for us when we were kids, but I'm not exactly sure how it works. When I opened it, all the moving parts started whirling.
The musical notes came from SFTW 153:

That's impressive Jane, and I imagine something of a collector's item.
Ged, we are up to seven pages from your starter image. I am not sure we ever managed that before.

@Trevor.Dennis lets see if we can beat that with Dave's new SFTW challenge

Thanks, Trevor, the cylinder records have my grandfather's voice on them, so I'd like to get them converted to .mp3s.
Trevor and @Ged_Traynor : I have one page, not seven. What number have you entered into "posts per page" in your account settings? 😊
There are 155 posts and 2.3K views, so that's impressive!
But no one picked up on my song reference in the quote. Oh, well.

Not for me, Graham. With my "posts per page" set to 200 in Account Settings, I can scroll up and down and see all of the posts in this thread on one page.

yes I understand but suggest the reason for your ui not showing 7 pages is because you changed it... by default, most people see 7
anyway pointless debate is fun and all but I do hope you get your family tapes converted to mp3 before no one knows how to work the old tech 😉
