P: Ability to disable double tap automatically aligning of Clone tool

When I first reported this problem I was told it was because my wacom tablet was old, my computer was out of date etc. Now I have a brand new computer and a brand new wacom tablet and still if I am not careful my clone tool goes automatically alined when I select an area to be cloned the box ticks itself I can see it happen if I accidentally tap the pen twice in quick succession to the tablet when making a selection. Now this may be okay for you younger people with your steady as a rock hands but no matter how careful I am this is still happening by accident to me. Some may see it as a feature me I would just like to be able to turn it off.

The discussion of the problems with the new Adjustment Presets is already getting a response from one of the team at Adobe, FionaYu.  Can we get a little love here for the Clone Stamp Alignment issue?

over 9 years now later and this is still an issue?  All Adobe products are going to keep getting a 0-1 star or whatever the minumum rating is until they can figure out how to fix something SO basic.  This is extremely frustrating when retouching.

4 years editing photos and I can count on ONE hand how many times I've intentionally used the align option.  Every single other time the entire time I've used photoshop has been an annoyance random selection even when I'm not even double tapping.

The healing brush does not have this issue, only the clone tool. So there is no consistency between the tools. Please make the clone tool work just like the healing brush. Turning on the “Aligned” checkbox by accidentally sampling twice does not make sense. This is disrupting my workflow many time a day. Please Adobe, have a look at this.

This has been driving me crazy for years. I figured it was a random bug, or I was doing something, or my Wacom tablet driver was buggy (nothing new there). But today I decided to search the webs... and LOL! Double-clicking when selecting the clone source area! And it's literally been 19 years and Adobe still hasn't addressed it. Classic Adobe!

Oder: Was it die Ursache?

I use the copy stamp for a large number of corrections.
By default, the "Aligned" option is deactivated.
But it keeps changing without me changing anything.
This is very annoying because I then always have to go back one step, deactivate the option and repeat the retouching step.
How can I prevent this? Or: What is the cause? Good day, everyone

What the hell is the worth of an answer to a non spoken question.
If you read it and understand, you know:
The "alignment" activates in some unexpected moment. Not when setting the source, not in a understandable moment. Stamping two times correctly or twenty times correctly (without defining a new source) in a sudden moment, the aliignment is activatetd.
Can anyone give an answer to that? I suppose, it is bug. But the Gods of Adobe don't react.

I've been using Photoshop (and at the time, PageMaker and Freehand) with a tablet since about 1996 and this has NEVER happened to me. Funny how a feature is a disaster for some people and unnoticed for others.

This other discussion has scripts that can be used to change align to non aligned via a keyboard shortcut: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/is-there-a-way-to-assign-a-keyboard-s...
