Working on image editing in PS the ability to identify an object through linking to Google Lens search. As an example you have a picture of a flower and you want to know the name of the flower. You can export then load the image in Google Lens. However, you have to save as a JPG first. Create a link to quickly id the object.

What would be the purpose of sending it to Google Lens? Could we have Photoshop provide keywords and metadata? One idea I proposed was to have Firefly supply that information for image analysis.

Illustrator is open almost 24/7 and just about the same for Bridge and Photoshop

Does Google Lens even work for »proper« computers (as opposed to tablets/phones running Android/iOS)?

I wonder if such integration would need licensing from Google; in which case the issue might be finacial more than technical.

I am not sure if Adobe has something in the works to identify objects. Google Lens may have some open source options. If Adobe can leverage these resources, this would be awesome.

Not sure of the accuracy of Google Lens. However, when I have tried, as I recall there was only one out of a thousand where the item was mis-identified. Again commonality among the apps is a win-win IMO
