Audio won't transcribe after update to new version

New Here ,
Sep 12, 2025 Sep 12, 2025

My software updated to the new version and now it will not transcribe audio.

I have tried transcribing the source, putting it on a timeline and making it mono.

Each time it shows a status bar that it is starting to transcribe and stops almost immediately.

@ben_6960,

I did a simple test today and did not see any problem. Win 11 on PR 25.5.0.

What OS? I assume 25.5.0.

Try running a screen recording if this persists.

The most foolproof test is to open the Progress panel first, then pick the asset in the project panel, right-click, and pick transcribe. Does it give you any audio choices for panel (if not, it is single track). Set the language if necessary and transcribe. What happens?

Stan

Sorry for the frustration,
