Hi, this is a compilation of the same problem posted by different users (two post are mine, but inside there is more people with the same problem).

The problem is this: Multicam monitor dissapears and only shows the preview, not the multicam

selection. You can see inside every post the glith/bug explained.

We need a solution, editing in multicam is extremly annoying with this bug.

Upvote if you have the same problem.

I really appreciate your reply, and to let us know that you are aware of that.

No more post from me about this. Thanks.

We are already working on this problem. We have reached out to some customers who have been experiencing it. So far, we have at least a partial repro, and are trying to understand the root problem. Aside from that, there is no new info to share right now. If you can wait a little longer, we might have more information to share soon. In the meantime...

We do not need new posts about this.

Upvotes are fine wherever you feel like making them, but we already know it is a big problem for people. The most important thing is, if you are one of the people that we have reached out to for more information, please respond to our queries. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

My workaround (so far) has been to split the sequence into 2 parts, starting from around the time where the problem began. Then I'll make a sequence where I put the 2, shorter sequences back-to-back.

So far it seems to be working. I was able to edit the rest of the footage in Multicam View mode without seeing the problem once.

1. Version 23.5.0 (Build S6)

2. Alienware Area-51m Laptop running Windows 11

3. Have 2 separate 2 hr-long multicam sequences with 4 cameras each, then create a timeline using one of these sequences, primarily. Edit a few parts here and there to skip awkward pauses, replace a few scenes that didn't go too well with a part from the other timeline. Keep playing through, switching cameras and making live recorded edits. Occasionally pause and click one of the other multicam options to change the current edit to that camera.

4. The expected result should likely happen at first, and for an unknown amount of times, which is that when you pause playback and click one of the other cameras, the yellow outline switches to it, and it appears on the main screen. No new cuts are made in the timeline, and instead the whole current clip switches to the selected angle. The actual result is that when you click a camera angle, suddenly the angle options disappear and the preview centers itself. It doesn't appear to enlarge to the largest possible preview, retaining the multicam aspect ratio. But the other angles don't appear.

I've gotten about an hour and 15 minutes into this 1.5-hour long edit, and only just recently do I start getting this issue.

As you can see below, Multicam view is selected. If you open the wrench options list, you can confirm that Multicam view is supposed to be enabled.

At first, I could pretty quickly get my multicams back by toggling the "Multicam" icon. Sometimes selecting a camera wouldn't trigger this error. As I continued editing, though, this problem just kept happening worse and worse. Now, I can toggle several times and it doesn't bring back the multicam view.

This is becoming a major nuisance. I fear that I may have to resort to pausing, checking each angle using the context menu, and then continuing from there. This almost makes the multicam sequence more of a liability than an aide. I'm so close to the end, but now I'm slowing to a crawl, and I don't have time for that.

If you can, please help me.

Upvoting. It's now a well known bug/glitch I did a list of all the post I found wich now are more than a few with the same problem, but not yet any response from Adobe.

The workaround that some have been doing is downgrade to 23.3

Here is the list with the post I found with the same problem. Adding yours to the list. I don't know what else to do so Adobe could check the problem.

I like cutting with multi-cam frequently. I always make sure the right track is toggled when multi-cam is enabled. I have shortcut set to cut/add edit on certain points I feel like I should cut to while playing back. It helps me so that I don't have to hover my mouse to pick the shot I'd like to in case I miss the point of where I intend to cut. I can then simply make sure the playhead is over the clip so that's it is selected (with the use of selection follows playhead) which then allows me to click on the take I'd like on the multi-cam. It seems this workflow will not work for me anymore because as soon as I hit my shortcut to cut/add edit, the multi-cam dissappears even if the multi-cam is toggled in the program monitor.

Now it's taking me extra steps in order to ensure the cuts land where I'd like them. I'm aware I can use the number keys to switch between cameras but it isn't ideal for me as it was much easier to focus on pressing one key and then selecting the take I'd like right after. Plus, it can get pretty complicated when you have multiple takes too dig through. I have to play around with pressing stuff on the timeline, often disabling and re-enabling multicam to get it back to work again but as soon as press cut, it's over. It doesn't work. I've been using this workflow for years and now I feel like I'm editing with one hand while trying to deliver with a tightdeadline.

This is almost certainly a technical bug rather than user error.  I am using version 23.5.0 (Build 56) on Windows 10, and cannot get the multicam UI to appear for more than a second.  My Program window gets wide when I enable multi-cam as though it were intending to show my program alongside the multiviewer, but ultimately it doesn't show up.  Fiddling with certain things, like enabling/disabling Mercury Transmit, switching a camera, or toggling the track targeting on/off will sometimes display it for a second, before going right back to not showing it as soon as I click any other UI element.

I know what you may be thinking - it's a common for this to happen when the track with the multicam sequence isn't targeted, but as you'll see in the screenshot below, that's not the issue here.  I sincerely hope this bug can be resolved, since it is severely affecting my professional workflow.

To reproduce this bug, all you need to do is attempt to switch on the multi-camera view with your program monitor.  This has now happened across multiple projects with different footage.

OK, I attempted to switch on the Multi-camera view per your instructions, and I even turned off all track targeting. Win11, PP 23.5
