I installed the latest version of PP but after loading the footage on the timeline it take more than 3 minutes before I see the picture in the Program monitor and when I switch to Multicam again no picture and min later no picture but the playhead in the timeline is moving and sound is playing, then a stuttering pictures.

Hi @videopiet

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums. Thank you for reporting a problem and for providing a video showing the issue. Just confirming you have the GeForce RTX 3060 and using the latest verison of the Studio driver?

It's a little hard to tell from the video but what file types are you using (is it a mix of MTS and MP4)? And where are the files and project located?

Noticed there is a process happening in the Progress Dashboard up in the top-right corner—what process is occuring and do you see perfomance improve once it is finished?

Does this happen with any other file types or if the files are not mixed together?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani

Hi Dani,

thanks for your fast reply.

sorry my info wasn't complete.

the footage is indeed.mp4 4K and .mts files in HD. They are located on a separate ssd drive. Even adding 1 file in the timeline takes long. An other multicam file I load-in tooks more then 1(one)! hour before I got a picture in the program monitor.

The nvidea studio driver is the most recent.
I removed PP 25.5 and installed previous versions like 25.0 and 25.2.3 and that works fine. Later versions gives the lag problem.
Hopefully there's a sollution.

Thank you for the additional information @videopiet. Would you be interested in sharing a few sample files so the team can take a closer look? I can message you if so.

Can you give me a suggestion what kind of closer look you want?

The team would try to reproduce the issue with the sample files and see if the problem can be narrowed down further @videopiet.

Hi Dani,

I have seen that the .mts file's seems to be the problem. As mentioned before version 25.2.3 the problem does noet exist in 25.4 it's a problem too. So Premiere has changed something in yor program processing aspecially with the sound handling.

I still looking forward for an solution within premiere 25.5 (and beyond)

Kind regards Peter

Thank you for narrowing that down @videopiet. Do you know what camera these files are from and what their average length/duration is?

The team is aware of an issue with long AVCHD MTS files, (see this thread here). I can merge your post there so you can get updates as we learn more.
