Premiere Pro not showing Windows File Explorer

Community Beginner ,

This started yesterday randomly (although I've seen some posts about it happening as early as 2019), where anytime I do something that would usually bring up Windows File Explorer (ex. importing media, changing export location, etc), nothing actually pops up, but I lose all ability to click on things. I just get a warning sound effect anytime I click. It seems like it thinks the Windows tab is open, but it's nowhere on my screen. I have to then physically end the task by going through my task manager, since I can't even click on the "x" to try and close it in Premiere. Would love an update ASAP.

PC Specs:

Windows 11 Home 64-bit

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700KF 3.40 GHz

64.0 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

Try manually adusting the Premiere Pro application window such that it takes up a smaller portion of the screen, and then click on the Location link to see if that allows you to see if there's a dialog box that's failing to come forward.

What usually happens is the modal dialog is opening off-screen or behind other items. Alt-F4 and even ESCape  should close it, and allow you to keep going.

Making your PP window small and moving it say to the right, then pressing that button, should bring it up close to the top of your PP window.

Weirdly, after a day the problem randomly fixed itself! If it happens again, I'll try those methods. Thank you all!
