Sequence suddenly zoomed in without any scale changes or effects applied

New Here ,
Oct 10, 2025 Oct 10, 2025

While working on a 4K sequence in Adobe Premiere Pro, the entire sequence suddenly appeared zoomed in.
No effects were applied, the Scale value in the Effect Controls panel remained at 100, and the sequence settings (resolution, aspect ratio) did not change. The issue affected the whole sequence view, not just individual clips.

Restarting Premiere and reloading the project did not fix it — the only solution was restoring a previous autosave.

Steps before the issue:

  • Editing a standard 4K sequence

  • No recent scaling, effects, or nesting changes

  • Suddenly, the Program Monitor displayed everything zoomed in

System details:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro (e.g. v24.6.1 Build 30)

  • OS: (e.g. Windows 11 / macOS 14 Sonoma)

  • GPU: (e.g. NVIDIA RTX 4070)

Hi @Riccardo311970909pgg

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums, and sorry you've been experiencing issues.

Let us know if selecting a different zoom level in the Program monitor worked. Otherwise, what if you try resetting your workspace to its saved layout through the Workspaces icon in the top right? Are you using any external displays?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani
