Team Project Converter

New Here ,
Aug 27, 2025 Aug 27, 2025

Hi, I need urgent help. I have a Premiere Pro Team Project file (.tpr) that is 95 MB in size and located in:

C:\Users\Tomorrow\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Team Projects Local Hub\Auto Saves

Premiere Pro 2025 does not allow me to open it. I already tried moving it to "local" or "Projects" folders, but the file is not recognized, and the "Open" button remains disabled. There is no option to convert it either. I really need to recover this project.

I have read that in these cases the official **Team Project Converter** tool is required to transform a .tpr into a standard Premiere Pro project (.prproj). Could you please provide me with this tool or help me convert my .tpr file into a usable .prproj?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @mediosaudiovisuales25
Could you check your DMs here and share the project file with the team? We can look at the .tpr file and see if it opens on our end.

Hi @mediosaudiovisuales25,
Placing the .tpr file into a '...\Common\Team Projects Local Hub\Auto Saves\local' folder should allow you to open the project as a local-only project via the 'Manage Team Projects' dialog. We do not have a converter tool, but if you or any collaborator still have access to the Team Project you can convert it to a local .prproj file via 'Edit > Team Project > Convert Team Project to Project...'.

Thanks for your reply!

I tried the suggested solution:
- I created the folder `...\Team Projects Local Hub\Auto Saves\local` exactly as instructed.
- I placed my 95 MB .tpr autosave file inside it.
- I restarted Premiere Pro 2025 and went to File > Open Team Project > Manage Team Projects.

Unfortunately, the file still does not appear in the list. The "Open" button remains disabled, so I cannot open the project as a local-only project.

In my case, the only folders that exist under `...\Common\Team Projects Local Hub\` are `Auto Saves` and `Team Projects Media Index`. There is no `Projects` folder. I also do not have any collaborators who can access the original Team Project in the cloud, so I cannot use *Edit > Team Project > Convert Team Project to Project...*.

I inspected the .tpr with a hex editor and confirmed it contains JSON with `"project"`, `"sequences"`, etc., so I know the data is there. However, Premiere does not recognize it as a valid Team Project autosave.

Is there any way to make Premiere index this local autosave, or is there another tool/workflow available to convert this .tpr into a usable .prproj file?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
