Window dialogue box doesn't appear.

Explorer ,
Dec 08, 2025 Dec 08, 2025

When editing the video halfway, I want to import new files. So I pressed on the Ctrl + I button, the window dialogue box won't appear. I have to force stop it by going to task manager to 'end task' the program. Same goes to importing custom LUT. same goes to when i am trying to choose the folder location when exporting the sequence. Pressed the 'esc' button and do not get any response. It is as if the window dialogue box gets hidden at the background. No matter what I do, the dialogue box won't appear. Tried to press on the Win+D to perform Show/Hide desktop but this doesn't make the dialogue box to appear.

I am using Windows 11 25H2 version

Intel Core i9 processor

NVIDIA Quadro RTX4000 with 32GB RAM

Premiere Pro version 25.6.1 up until 25.6.3

It's possible the dialog is "under" something, but we have seen instances of this in the past where the dialog is simply offscreen (usually as a result of a setup where the user sometimes has an additional monitor). In Windows you can move a window by holding ALT down, pressing the space bar, and then releasing ALT. This will cause the system menu to appear, ad once that's up if you hit the 'M' key it'll put the window into a mode where it can be moved using the arrow keys and/or mouse. Doing this will (possibly) allow you to move the window back onto your monitor (I'd experiment with a window already on your monitor to get a feel for this, as it's a little goofy).

Hi! Thanks for the tips but it doesn't work. Here's the funny thing, when I launch PR and I immediately open the project and export the video, it usually works. The dialogue box will be appearing right on my main desktop. However, after a certain period of time, it just won't work. I am pretty sure that I did not mess up my monitor setup because I've been using this setup for years and never have experiences like this. I always let the  dialogue box to be only appearing on my main desktop.

@nana36722464ffx2,

I can't see what workspace you are in. See this "stock panel" bug which produces some of your symptoms:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/p-25-6-2-missing-text-panel-empty-uxp-panels/idi-p/...

A quick test for it is to switch to the Captions and Graphics workspace, exit premiere, reopen, and do not switch out of that workspace. This does not open the stock panel. If that seems to work, then see the workarounds it the "update" in the top post.

@Stan Jones I am using my own customized workspace all these while. Have tried the Captions workspace, the issue still persists.

@nana36722464ffx2,

Sorry that wasn't it! I would try one of the other workarounds even if the issue is not that bug: File -> Export -> Send to media encoder.

@Stan Jones this definitely my workaround at this moment to exporting media. However I face the same issue for importing new clip or to import new LUT. While I can use the Media Browser or drag-and-drop the media directly to bin, but sometimes it is my muscle memory to use the keyboard shortcut to import new clip. Haha.

@nana36722464ffx2,

"Muscle memory" - So true! And we count on it. The video editor's friend. And then we have to adapt to a bug or a program change. And there are the other important personal assets: Sense of humor, perseverance, flexibility, ....
