Hi Martin,

With 12.1, there is a new feature related to color correction and the Lumetri Color panel for adding LUTs to your editing system much more easily than before.

In the past, users had to add a single LUT at a time for any custom LUTs or packages of multiple LUTs. This became quite cumbersome in a good number of workflows and lead to unexpected behavior when users added LUTs incorrectly via hacking the app package.

This feature allows you to create a location for adding LUTs to Premiere Pr

Huh. So you've got the LUTs loaded and then can browse and apply them via the Technical LUT slot in the Basic tab ... but then after searching and testing a bunch of them in a fairly short period of time, PrPro locks up ... ... ... drawing a blank here.

This is my problem ... I have tried the 3 solutions for the render system

(Open CL, Metal and Mercury Playback Engine only), but it is the same

problem.

Wish I had something to suggest ... you've pretty much got me cleaned out. And yea, this is a right royal pain.

Since they've dropped their announcement of new features for a new release at IBC in Amsterdam last week, the best guess is that sometime over the next couple months they're going to drop that new release. I hope when they do, this problem goes away for you.

I'm just stumped.

Has this changed again with CC2019???

Adding the LUTs folder in the Common folder, with the sub folders and files added inside those sub folders does NOTHING.   Restarting the app, even restarting the machine, doesn't automatically add anything...  I can browse each individual file and add it, but that seems like a ridiculous amount of time wasted with an entire folder of settings to add.   Isn't Premier supposed to scan what's in those folders at startup?

What's the "current" story about how to make this software work like a professional application?

I use this daily ... as shown in the chart ...

Lumetri LUTs Looks Findable Locations.PNG

Once you add in the Creative & Technical folders at the appropriate locations, on launch Prelude, Ae, Pr, and Me should all read those locations.

Within Lumetri, the Creative folder adds to the Creative folder list, the Technical folder adds to the Basic tab list.

I name my own LUTs/Looks normally to show up first in that computer-style alphanumeric listing.

So in my computer, a Win10 pc, this is the top of the "explorer" page with my location and a few LUTs that are available in the Creative tab of Pr.

One of the really funky things is you have to completely close Pr after creating & storing one on disc ... then relaunch. I've got requests in to give us a 'reload' button. Would save me a ton of time.

If yours aren't appearing there, something needs adjusting.
