I was having a lot of crashes during my project, so I decided to try turning off GPU acceleration. It prompted me to delete my preview which I did. I then opened my project back up and rendered using software and it again crashed after a long 10 min render. When I went to try again opening the project, all I got was a blank screen with the menu title bar at the top, which would error ding if I tried to hit anything. I then tried uninstalling PP, Creative cloud and reinstalled and the same thing happened. I tried using an older save of the project and the same thing. I then tried deleting the media cache and database files with no luck.

I was able to start a new project and even start other projects, but if I tried to import the problem project the same thing happened. Interesting thing when I opened a different project, an error message saying something like no renderer was installed so it would use the software. Not sure if it matters but the software is installed on my c drive and my media is on another drive but the drive seems to be working fine.

Any ideas? please help!

Thanks. Although the autosaves wouldn't work, I was able to import individual sequences and make new projects out of them.

Thanks for your help.

You can work through the Troubleshooter.  Maybe something will help.

On rare occasions, a .prproj file can become unusable.

Try opening the few latest autosave files.
